Code 44 - Cannot connect to the POP3 server

Cannot connect to the POP3 server to receive mail, the service is temporarily unavailable. If the error occurs

systematically, check the Internet e-mail and server parameters.

Code 45 - Internet service provider disconnected

The service is temporarily unavailable; try again later.

Code 46 - SMTP server disconnected

The SMTP server to send mail is disconnected. The service is temporarily unavailable; try again later.

Code 47 - POP3 server disconnected

The POP3 server to receive mail is disconnected. The service is temporarily unavailable; try again later.

Code 48 - Internet disconnected

The service is temporarily unavailable; try again later.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM SOLUTION

• The screen remains blank. • Check that the mains supply cable and the power supply cable of the

adaptor are correctly connected.

• The machine does not answer the

call after several rings.

• The FAX icon may be off: check the reception mode (manual/

automatic).

• Check the number of rings (see the INSTALLATION chapter, Setting

up the unit).

• Configure the machine on "private network" (see the

INSTALLATION chapter, Type of network).

• The photocopy printed is blank. • The document in the document feeder was placed upside down.

• The telephone exchange does not

recognise the number you have

called.

• Check that the telephone line cable is properly connected.

• Configure the machine in pulse dialling mode.

• Check the telephone line and the phone outlet.

• The machine does not ring. • The TEL icon flashes: restore ringing (see the INSTALLATION

chapter, Ringing tone).

• The telephone does not work. • Check that the mains supply cable and the power supply cable for the

adaptor are properly connected.

• There may be a power failure.

• Check the telephone line and the phone outlet.

• The screen displays:

• Put paper into the paper feeder.

• Close the rear cover.

• Open the rear cover to access the paper path and remove the piece of

paper. Make sure the rear cover is properly closed.
