USTOMISING THE HANDSET
Handset naming
The default name of the handset is "
handset N
" where
N
is the number of the registered handset.
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " handset name ".
2. Use the keypad to enter the new name (up to 10 characters).
Use
key to delete wrong input if necessary. Press OK.
Handset ringer level
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " handset tone " / " ring volume ".
2. Use or to select the volume level then press OK to confirm your selection.
Handset ringer me lody
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " handset tone " / " ring tones ".
Ten melodies are available: " melody 1 "… " melody 10 ".
2. Use or to select the ring tone. Press OK.
Key tone On/Off
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " handset tone " / " key beep ".
An information screen shows you the curr ent state. Use or to modify it.
2. Press OK key to confir m your sel ection.
Modifying the language
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " language ".
2. Use or to choose the desired language. Press OK key to confirm your selection .
Auto talk
When active, the auto talk off feature enables you to auto matically hang up as soon as you put the
handset on its base.
1. Go to the menu " personal set " / " auto hang-up ".
An information screen shows you the current state. Use or to modify it.
2. Press OK key to co nfirm you r selecti on.
Key lock
1. Press and hold key for 1 second. An information screen shows you that the keys are locked.
2. To recover to normal, press and h old
key 1 sec.

ETTING THE DATE AND TIME
Time and date
After a power cut the ti me has to be reset.
1. Go to the menu " clock & alarm " / " date/time". Current date is displayed.
- To keep the date, press OK .
- To change it, enter the new date i n 20YY/MM/JJ format.

A screen displays the current format, use or to change it.

Date format
1. Go to the menu " clock & alarm " / " set format " / " date format ".
A screen displays the current format, use or to change it.
2. Press OK.
Alarm clock
1. Go to the menu " clock & alarm " / " alarm ".
To activate the alarm once, select "on once ".
To repeat the alarm each day at the programmed time, select " on daily ".
To deactivate the alarm, se lect " off ".
2. Select your choice then press OK .
Enter the time when you want the alarm to go off: "HH – mm ".
(If after entering the time, the time for mat 12H, use key to set

Modifying alarm tone
1. Go to the menu " clock & alarm " / " alarm tone ".
3 melodies are availabl e: "melody 1 ", " melody 2 " et " melody 3 ".
2. Select the desired melody, press OK key to confirm your selection.

DVANCED SETTINGS
Base master PIN code
Your base stat ion code (def ault setting 0000 ) is required to access certain security functions. This code
can include 8 digits.
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " change pin ".
2. Enter your old code first, press OK .
3. Enter your new PIN code.
Each time a digit is entered the «_»is replaced b y a «*».
Press OK key to confirm your new PIN code. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Carefully note your base station code. You will need it to change c ertain settings.
Association handset & base
1. Press and hold key for 5 seconds (after 1 minute if no Handset ha s started association process
the base goes back to standby).
2. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " registration ".
3. Enter the 4 digit base master PIN code (default 0000). Press OK .
4. Once the handset is registered. The handset automatically exits the r egistering mode.
5. The handset number assigned automatically by the base appears on the screen.
Disassociation o f a handset
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " unregister ".
2. Enter the 4 digit base master PIN code (default 0000). Press OK .
3. Select the handset you want to de lete using the or key th en press OK (at standby state ,
"pls reg h/s " is display ed on the screen.
Selecting the country
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " unregister ".
2. Enter the 4 digit base master PIN code (default 0000). Press OK .
3. Select the country where you are using the telephone. Press OK.
4. A confirmation screen appears, press OK .
Restoring the Handset / Base Default Settings
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " reset ".
2. A confirmation screen appears, press OK .
Prefix (Dependi ng on Country)
If a PABX is used in a private network, you can program the outs ide call prefix.
This function sets:
- The PABX prefix nu mber: this number will be added at the beginning of the number you dia lled.
- The number to be detected: if the number you dialled starts with the recorded sequence, this
sequence will be automatically deleted.
These two settings are not appl ied if number you dialled star ts with
"#", "*" or "P".
1. Go to the menu "advanced set " / " auto prefix ".
- Select "detect digit " to define the number giving you access to the ou tside line.
- Select "prefix " to specify t he «digits be fore prefix».
2. Press OK.
Flash timing
If you connect your telepho ne to a private automatic branch exchang e or use it in a foreign country, you
may need to modify the flash duration in order to use your telephone correctly with regard to the following
functionalities: outgoing 2nd call, incoming 2nd call, conference call.
Contact your administrator, who will supply the appropriate time period, and proceed to the new settings.
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " recall time ".
2. Select the appropriate time period, press OK.
Modifying the dialing mode
Most telephone systems use the tone dialling mode. You can, however, use the pulse dialling mode:
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " dial mode ".
2. Two modes are available: " tone " and " pulse ".
3. Press OK.

First ring
When this function is activate d, the receiver rings as soon as a call is received , without waiting for the
number to be displayed. If you have activated this function, it will be automatically deactivated when a call
is received with the number displayed (if you have this servi ce).
1. Go to the menu " advanced set " / " first ring ".
2. Use the or ke y to change the state.
3. Press OK.

ATTERIES SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
To avoid any risk of explos ion:
Make sure you have inser ted the batteries correctly.
Use only wi th 1,2V 400mAh type or equivalent recharge able batteries pack.
Do not dispose of t he batteries in a fire. The cell may explode.
Check with local code for possible special disposal instructions.
Do not bur n, disas semble, mutilat e or punc ture. Li ke other batter ies of t his type , toxic m aterial s could be
released which can cause injury.

In order to apply the guarantee, you should contact the SAGEMCOM Helpdesk or the retailer where you
purchased the equipment. Proof of purchase will be required in eith er case.
Please make sure that you use your equipment only for the purpose for which it was designed and under normal
usage cond itions .
SAGEMCOM do not accept any li ability for the equipment if use d outside the frame of its original designed
purpose or any consequence that m ay arise from this usage.
Should any malfunction arise, the SAGEMCOM Helpdesk or your retailer will advise you how to proceed.
A) General Guarantee conditions
SAGEMCOM undertakes to remedy by repair or exchange at its own convenience, f ree of charge for labour and
replacem ent par ts, any de fects in the equi pment du ring the guarante e perio d of 12 (tw elve) m onths or 3 ( three)
months for accessories, from the date of original invoice of the Equipment, where th ose defects are a result of
faulty wo rkmans hip.
Unless the customer has concluded with SAGEMCOM a maintenance contract in respect of the equipment which
specifically provides for repairs to be carried out at the customer's premises, the repairs will not be carried out on
the equipment at the customer premises.
The customer must however return the d efective equipment at his/her own expense, to the address supplied by
the SAGEMCOM Helpdesk or by the retai ler.
In the cas e that a produc t needs t o be sent in for a repair , it must alway s be accom panied by a proo f of pur chase
(which is not altered, written on or in any way made illegible) showing that the product is still under guarantee. In
the case that no proof of purchase i s enclosed, the SAGEMCOM repair centre wi ll use the production date as i ts
reference for establishing the guarantee status of the product.
Apart from all le gal obligatory rules, SAGEM COM, do not gi ve any Guarant ee, either im plicit or explic it which is
not set force in the present section, and can not be held responsib le for any direct or indirect, material or
immaterial damage, either in or out of the frame of the present guarantee.
If any provision of this guarantee shall be held to be in whole or in part invalid or illegal due to an obligatory rule
applicable to consumers pursuant to their national legislat ion, such invalidity or illegality shall not impair or affect
the remaining provisions or parts of this guarantee.
This guarantee does not affect the Customer statutory rights.
B) Exclusions From Guarantee
SAGEMCOM shall have no liability under the guarantee in respect of:
x Damage, defects, breakdown or malfunction due to one or more of the following:
- Failure to properly follow the installation process and instructions for use
- An external cause to the equipment (including but not limited to: lightening, fire, shock, vandalism,
inappropriate conditions of electrical network or water damage of any n ature)
- Modifications mad e without the wr itten approval of SAGEMCO M
- Unsuitable operating conditions, particularly of temperature and humidity
- Repair or mai ntenanc e of the equ ipment b y persons not autho rised b y SAGEMC OM
x Wear and tear from normal daily use of the equipment and its accessories
x Damage due to in sufficient or bad packaging of equipment when returned to SAG EMCOM
x Usage of new versions of software without the previous approval of SAGEMCOM
x Work on any equipment or softw are modified or added without the prior written consent of SAGEMCOM
x Malfunctions not resulting from the Equipment or from software installed in user workstations for the
purpose of use of th e equipm ent
Communication problems related to an unsuitable environment including:
- Problems rela ted to access and/or connection to the Internet such as interruptions by access n etworks or
malfunction of the line used by the subscriber or his correspondent
- Transmission faults (for example poor geographical coverage by radio and TV transmitters, interference
or poor line quality)
- Local netw ork faults (wiring, servers , workst ations) or the failure of the tran smiss ion networ k (such as but
not limited to interferences, fault or poor quality of the network
- Modification of the parameters of the cellular or broadcast network carried out after the sale of the
Product
x Normal servicing (as defined in the user guide supplied with the equipment) as well as malfunctioning due
to servicing not being carried out. Servicing costs are in any event always borne by the customer.
x
Malfunctions resulting from the usage of products, consumables or accessories not compatible wit h the
equipmen t.

Out of Guarantee Repairs
In the cas es set f orth in B ) as wel l as aft er expir y of the guarant ee peri od, the cu stomer must as k the Auth orise d
SAGEMCOM Repair Centre for a cost estimation prior to work being carried out.
In such cases, the repair and delivery costs will be invoiced to the customer.
The foregoing shall apply unless otherwise agreed in writing with the customer and only for the United Kingdom
