SMART MUL TI SENSOR COOKING BUTT ONS
Smart Multi Sensor Cooking lets you cook your favorite foods automatically, with the pr ess of a button. When you
activate Smart Multi Sensor Cooking, the microwave’ s Smart Multi Sensor detects the temper ature of the food while it
cooks and automatically shuts the microwave o when it det ects that the food has been cooked to the ideal t emperatur e.
CAUTION
Do not use the Smart Multi Sensor Cooking buttons continuously . The oven must cool for 5 minutes between
uses or the food will overcook.
Smart Multi Sensor cooking utensils & covers
T o obtain good cooking results using these functions, follow the dir ections for selecting appropriate containers and
covers in the Cookware Guide section on page 17-18.
CAUTION
Always use microwave-safe containers and abide by the cautions listed in the Safety Information section in this
manual. When using plastic wrap, turn back one corner t o allow steam to escape or pier ce the plastic in several
places.
CAUTION
Fill containers at least half full.
Do not use the Smart Multi Sensor cooking feature continuously . W ait 5 minutes before selecting another sensor
cooking operation.
F or the best cooking results, do not use the Smart Multi Sensor when the ambient room temper ature is t oo high or
too low .
Install the oven in a well ventilated location for proper cooling and airflow and t o ensure the sensor will oper ate
accurat ely .
Always keep the inside of the oven clean. Wipe all spills with a damp cloth. This oven is designed for household use only .
F or the best cooking results, food or cookware should be placed in the cent er of turntable.
F or the best cooking results, food should weigh more than 1/2 pounds.
F or the best cooking results, avoid microwaving long, thin foods and microwaving food in str aight-sided containers
with narrow necks such as bottles and jars.
F or the best cooking results, do not cover food with lids not recommended in this manual.
When you use Smart Multi Sensor Cooking, follow the wrapping guide below . Otherwise, the food may not cook properly .

Heat only one microwave popcorn bag at a time. Unfold the popcorn
package so that it lies flat and place it in the center of the turntable. Be
careful when removing the heat ed bag from the oven and opening it. L et the
oven cool for at least 5 minutes before using it again.

slices towards the outside edge of the plat e. Do not let the slices overlap. Do

SMART DEFROS T BUTT ON
T o thaw fro zen foods, ent er the weight of the food, and the microwave automatically sets the defr osting time, power
level, and standing time. Pr ess ENTER/ST ART butt on to start defrosting.
1. Pr ess the Smart Defrost button.
2. Pr ess the Smart Defrost button repeat edly or the number buttons (1-7) t o select the menu that corresponds to
the food you are defrosting and the weight of the food. F or example, selet dF-1 t o defrost .5 t o .9 lbs of ground
meat.
3. Pr ess the ENTER/ST ART butt on.
4. Whenever the microwave beeps during the defrosting pr ocess, open the microwave’ s door, turn the food over ,
and then press the ENTER/S T ART button t o continue defrosting.
