SENSOR COOKING BUTT ONS
The Sensor Cooking buttons let you cook favorit e foods using preset power levels and times at the touch of a butt on.
If the food is not thoroughly cooked or r eheated when you use the auto cook featur e, complete the cooking process by
selecting a power level and cooking the food for an additional amount of time.
CAUTION
Do not use the Sensor Cooking buttons continuously . The oven must cool for 5 minutes between uses or the
food will overcook.
Sensor cooking utensils & covers
T o obtain good cooking results using these functions, follow the dir ections for selecting the appropriate containers and
covers in the Cookware section on page 16.
CAUTION
Always use microwave-safe containers and cover with a lid or plastic wr ap. When using plastic wrap, turn back
one corner to allow st eam to escape.
CAUTION
Fill containers at least half full.
F oods that require stirring or r otating should be stirred or turned at the end of the Sensor Cook cycle, when the
time has started to count down on the display .
Do not use the Auto Sensor cooking feature continuously . Wait 5 minutes befor e selecting another sensor cooking
operation.
T o avoid poor results, do not use the Aut o Sensor when the room ambient temper ature is t oo high or too low .
Sensor cooking table

Use only one microwave popcorn bag at a time. Be careful when r emoving
the heated bag from the oven and opening it. L et the oven cool for at least
5minutes before using it again.
P otato

Pierce each potato sever al times with a fork. Place on the turntable in a
spoke-like fashion. After cooking, let the potat oes stand for 3-5 minutes. L et
the oven cool for at least 5 minutes before using it again.
Pizza 1 to 4 slices
Place 1-3 pizza slices on a microwave-safe plate with the wide ends of the
slices towards the outside edge of the plat e. Do not let the slices overlap. Do
not cover . L et the oven cool for at least 5 minutes before using it again.
Cook
Beverage 8 oz.
Use a measuring cup or mug and do not cover . Place the bever age in the
oven. After heating, stir well. L et the oven cool for at least 5 minutes before
using it again.
Chicken

8 to 24 o z.
Place the chicken breasts on a micr owave safe plate and cover with plastic
wrap. Cook t o an internal t emperature of 170 °F . L et stand for 5 minut es.

F ollow the package instructions for covering and letting stand. Use this
button for fro zen sandwiches, br eakfast entrees, pancakes, waes, etc. L et
the oven cool for at least 5 minutes before using it again.

Remove the food from its wr apping and follow the instructions on the box
for covering and letting stand. Let the oven cool for at least 5 minut es before
using it again.

dish and add 2-4 tbs. of water . Cover with a lid or vented plastic wrap while

SENSOR REHEA T BUTTON
Heating leftovers and precook ed foods is easy with your new microwave. By actually sensing the humidity that
escapes as the food is heated, the oven’ s heating time is automatically adjusted depending on the type and amount of
precooked food.
All food must already be precook ed. Plates of food and casseroles should be st ored at refriger ator t emperatur e.
Pr ess the Reheat button to begin r eheating your precooked food. The display will show SELEC T MENU 1 T O 3.
Press the Ent er/Start button and the oven will start. If you want to check the current time while reheating,
press the Clock button.

Cover the plate with vent ed plastic wrap or waxed paper tuck ed under the plate. If the
food is not as hot as you would like after using the Sensor Reheat function, continue

T o thaw fro zen foods, ent er the weight of the food, and the microwave automatically sets the defr osting time, power
level and standing time. Pr ess Enter/Start button t o start defrosting.
1. Pr ess the Auto Defrost button. The display shows: ENTER WEIGHT .
2. Pr ess the number buttons to dir ectly enter the weight of the food.
3. Pr ess Enter/Start button.
4. The oven will beep and the display will read TURN THE FOOD O VER twice during the defrosting process. Open
the oven door , and turn the food over .

warm portions with narrow strips of aluminum foil. Let stand, cover ed for 10-20 minutes.

After each stage, rearr ange the food. If there ar e any warm or thawed portions of food,
shield them with narrow , flat pieces of aluminum foil. Remove any pieces of food that are
nearly defrosted. L et stand, covered for 5-10 minut es.

Remove giblets before free zing poultry . Start defrosting with the breast side down. Aft er
the first stage, turn the chicken over and shield any warm portions with narrow strips of
aluminum foil. After the second stage, again shield any warm portions with narrow strips
of aluminum foil. Let stand, cover ed for 30-60 minutes in the refriger ator .

Check the food when you hear the oven signal. After the final stage, small sections may still be icy; let them stand
to continue the thawing process. The food is not defr osted until all ice crystals have thawed. Shielding roasts and
pieces of steak using small pieces of foil prevents the edges fr om being cooked before the cent er of the food has
defrosted. Use narr ow, flat, smooth strips of aluminum foil t o cover edges and thinner sections of the food.

T o thaw fro zen 1.0 lbs foods, pr ess this button, and the microwave aut omatically sets the defrosting time, power level
and standing time.

4. If you do not turn the food over when TURN THE FOOD OVER is displayed, the oven will pause until you pr ess the
Enter/Start button.
