Pull the cover off the battery compartment. The battery can now be accessed.

Remove the used battery with the help of a pointed object (pincers, small

screwdriver etc.) and put the new battery ( LR 41 or SR 41) in. Please make sure

it is the right way round. You can purchase batteries from jewellers or electrical

shops.

Measurement checks:

Checking the accuracy of the SC 42 TM is not necessary in most cases. The

German Medical Product User regulations of 29th June 1998 stipulate a

measurement check every two years for devices used in medicinal practices. If

you require a measurement check (at your expense), please send the SC 42 TM

to our customer service address. Please make sure it is well-packaged and that

the correct postage stamps are applied.

Cleaning and disinfection

The thermometer is watertight, and can therefore be fully immersed in one of the

cleansing fluids listed below for cleaning.

We recommend the use of Mucocit-F2000 or HelipurHplus to disinfect the

device during use in medical facilities. Both are effective against all hospital-typical

pathogens and can be purchased from any dispensing chemist.

We give a guarantee period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

We guarantee perfect design of this article.

We will rectify all material or manufacturing errors during the guarantee period. If,

contrary to expectations, defects are found, please send the device back to our

customer service department. Please enclose the proof of purchase and a

description of the defect so that the problem can be rectified as soon as possible.

The guarantee excludes damages caused by improper handling, related to the

battery or to the packaging.

Disposal information

Batteries must be disposed of properly. Battery disposal containers are provided in

all shops selling batteries in addition to communal waste collection points. After the

end of your device's service life, please dispose of the device correctly using the

communal collection point for old electrical equipment.
