Noise data
Measurement conditions per EN 1870-1: 1995-07; DIN EN ISO
11202; DIN EN ISO 3746
The stipulated values are emission values and so do not necessa-
rily represent safe working values. Although there is a correlation
between emission levels and exposure levels, it is not possible
to reliably determine whether additional protective measures will
be required or not based on this. Factors that could inuence the
exposure level present at any given time in the work area include
the duration of exposure, the nature of the working area, other
noise sources etc. e.g. the number of machines and neighbouring
processes. The permissible workstation values can also vary from
country to country. However, this information should enable the
operator to better evaluate the hazards and risks.
Sound power level in dB
Idle LWA = 91.2 dB(A),
Working LWA = 97.7 dB(A)
Sound pressure level at workstation in dB
Idle LpAeq = 80.6 dB(A),
Working LpAeq = 87.6 dB(A)
A measurement uncertainty supplement applies to the emissions
values stated:
K = 4 dB.
Dust emission details
With the connection of the machine to a properly working suction
device which has a minimum suction ow rate of 20 m/s at the
suction nozzle, it can be assumed that the dust emissions will
remain permanently below the value of 2 mg/m3 overall dust at the
machine workstation.
General information
1. After unpacking check all parts for transport damage. In the
event of complaints the carrier must be informed immediately.
2. Later claims will not be recognised.
3. Check whether the shipment is complete.
4. Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the opera-
ting instructions before using for the rst time.
5. With accessories as well as wearing parts and replacement
parts use only original scheppach parts. Replacement
parts can be obtained from your dealer.
6. When ordering please provide our article number as well
as type and year of manufacture for your equipment.
Note
In accordance with the applicable product liability laws, the ma-
nufacturer of the machine assumes no liability for damage to the
machine or caused by the machine arising from:
1. Improper handling.
2. Failure to comply with the operating instructions
3. Repairs carried out by third parties, unauthorised specialists.
4. Integration and exchange of „Non-original scheppach replace-
ment parts“.
5. Use other than that as stated in „Proper use“
6. Failure of the electrical system in the event of the electrical
regulations and VDE provisions 0100, DIN 571 13 / VDE 01 13
not being observed.
Our recommendation to you:
Read the whole text of the operating instructions before
assembly and start up.
These operating instructions should help to familiarise you with
the machine and to use it for its intended purpose. The operating
instructions include important instructions for the safe, proper and
economic operation of the machine, for avoiding danger, for mini-
mising repair costs and downtimes and for increasing the reliability
and extending the service life of the machine.
In addition to the safety instructions in these operating instruc-
tions, you must also observe the regulations applicable to the
operation of the machine in your country.
Keep the operating instructions safely at the machine in a plastic
sleeve, protected from dirt and moisture. They must be read and
carefully observed by all operating personnel before starting the
work. The machine may only be used by personnel who have
been trained to use it and who have been instructed with respect
to the associated hazards. The required minimum age must be
observed. In addition to the safety instructions in these operating
instructions and the separate regulations of your country, the ge-
nerally recognised technical rules relating to the operation of wood
processing machines must also be observed.
We have marked points in these operating instructions that
impact your safety with this symbol: m

General
Pass the safety instructions on to all persons who work on the
machine.
Only operate the machine when it is in a fault-free technical
condition.
The machine must only be used appropriately and in compli-
ance with the operating instructions in full knowledge of the
safety and hazards.
Observe all safety information and hazard warnings on the
machine.
Ensure that all of the safety and hazard warning signs on the
machine are complete and in legible condition.
Never use the saw to cut rewood.
Keep children away from the mains connected machine.
The operating personnel must be at least 18 years of age.
Training personnel must be at least 16 years of age but may
only work on the machine under supervision.
Personnel working on the machine must not be distracted.
Before start up
Check the mains supply cables and do not use faulty cables.
Ensure that the machine is standing on level and rm ground.
Check the braking time to bring the saw blade to a standstill
daily. It must be max. 10 seconds. Otherwise do not continue
to work with the machine.
Ensure adequate lighting at the workstation.
