The machine may be used, maintained or re-
paired only by experienced persons who are
assigned to do so and who are instructed re-
garding the dangers. Independent changes to
the machine exclude a liability of the manufac-
turer for resulting damages.
The machine may be used only with original
scheppach accessories and original tools from
the manufacturer.
Any use that goes beyond these terms is con-
sidered improper. The manufacturer is not li-
able for damages resulting from such use; the
user alone bears the risk thereof.
The saw is designed exclusively for the cross-
cut sawing of rewood with max. 1m length
and min./max. Ø 60 – 250 mm.
Only saw blades that adhere to the European
Norm EN 847-1 may be installed.
Description
The rocker circular saw is suitable only for the
sawing of rewood.
Unlike with a conventional rocker circular saw,
the placement of multiple logs in the rocker at
once is possible.
Its structural features are:
Two parallel saw blades with a distance of
330mm. This technical feature enables an es-
pecially quick sawing of pieces of wood with
max. 1 m length.
The hinged cover, which prevents the pieces
of wood from sliding out of the rocker and thus
represents an important component of the
safety equipment of the rocker circular saw
The wood retaining lever for securing the
logs. One or more logs can be secured at the
same time with the wood retaining lever to pre-
vent grappling with the logs
The tip ejection for fast and safe removal of
the logs from the rocker.
We recommend:
For a faster and more effective operation, we rec-
ommend that you use a rewood conveyor belt
from the scheppach product line.
For more information, see your scheppach deal-
er or www.scheppach.com
Residual risks
The machine is built according to the state of the
art and the recognised safety-technical rules.
Nevertheless, individual residual risks can arise
during operation.
Injury danger for ngers and hands from the
rotating saw blade due to improper guiding of
the work piece.
Danger to health from sawdust or wood chips.
Do not lay crooked logs on the table careless-
ly; the wood must always be placed in the cut-
ting area of the table.
It is imperative that you wear personal protec-
tive equipment like eye protection and dust
masks.
Danger to health due to noise. During opera-
tion, the permissible noise level is exceeded. It
is imperative that you wear personal protective
equipment (hearing protection).
Danger from current when using improper
electrical connection leads.
Moreover, in spite of all preventative measures
being taken, unforeseeable residual risks can
still arise.
Residual risks can be minimised if the Safety
Notes” and “Intended Use” as well as the op-
erating instructions as a whole are observed
Assembly / Setup and adjustment
Your rewood rocker circular saw is already as-
sembled ready for use.
Pay attention, when you set up the rocker circular
saw, that it stands on a level base and avoid tip-
ping it.
Also make sure that your rocker circular saw
does not stand on a base that is too soft, to avoid
the machine sinking in.
Hauler attachment
To cut rewood, attach the rocker circular saw
in the long direction to the 3-point hydraulics
of the hauler.
Secure the drive shaft with the chain during
operation to prevent spinning.
Suspend the drive shaft on the retaining brack-
et after the uncoupling from the hauler.
When you leave the workplace, switch off the
hauler and remove the ignition key.
Use the right drive shaft. We recommend the
scheppach drive shaft W100, Art. No. 0501
8101
Transport of the machine
Manual transport:
When you transport the saw, lock the rocker
gate “A”. (Fig. 03)
Use the transport device (Fig. 09) (available as
a separate accessory)
Transport with hauler
During transport of the circular saw, the PTO
drive shaft operation must be switched off.
The warning sign with tail lamp DIN 110030
must be mounted at the saw, and the tail light
must be connected to the hauler
Transport with crane (Fig. 12)
For transport with a crane, use the crane eye.
The crane eye is identied with an adhesive label
(Fig. 12).
Electrical connection
Fig. 01
Connect the machine to the mains with the
CEE plug; the lead must be passively fused
with 16 A.
Switch the saw on at the operating switch; the
saw shaft turns on. (First move the switch to
the star and wait briey until the motor has
reached full speed; then move the switch to
the triangle Fig. 01)
During shutdown, the saw shaft is slowed
down within 10 s.
Changing the rotational direction Fig. 02
The installed electric motor is connected ready
for use. The connection meets the applicable
VDE and DIN requirements. The customer-side
mains connection as well as the extension cable
used must adhere to these regulations or the lo-
cal power company regulations.
Motor brake device
When the machine is switched off, an automati-
cally operating brake with brake board (excep-
tion: 6.1 kw motor with mechanical brake) slows
it down safely. The brake stops the drive motor of
the saw shaft within 10 s.
If the braking process takes longer than 10 s,
the machine may no longer be used because
the brakes are defective. It is imperative that you
separate the machine from the power supply.
Only a qualied electrician may be assigned
to resolve the problem.
Operating mode / Switched-on time
The electric motor is designed for operating
mode S640%. This abbreviation stands for:
S6: continuous operation with intermittent load
40%: (based on 10 min.) 4min. load; 6 min. idling.
If the motor is overloaded, it switches off auto-
matically, since a winding thermostat is embed-
ded in the motor winding. After a cooling period
(duration varies), the motor can be switched on
again.
Damaged electric power cables
Insulation damage often occurs to electric power
cables.
