SCOTT SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

You should have your SCOTT speed pedelec serviced regularly after the

bedding-in phase. The schedule given in the table is a rough guide for speed

pedelec riders who ride between 1,000 and 2,000 km (620 and 1,240 miles)

or 50 to 100 hours of use per year.

When you regularly ride much more or very often on poor road surfaces, the

intervals of the SCOTT service plan in the detailed original SCOTT operating

instructions trekking and trekking pedelec will shorten accordingly to the

harder use.

WARNING

The drive is free of vibrations. During use your SCOTT speed pedelec is severely

affected by the influences of the ground and the forces introduced by you into

the SCOTT speed pedelec. These dynamic loads result in wear and fatigue of the

different parts of your speed pedelec. Check your SCOTT speed pedelec regu-

larly, i.e. according to the “SCOTT service and maintenance schedule”, for wear

marks, scratches, deformations, colour changes and any indication of cracking.

Components which have reached the end of their service life may break without

previous warning. Let your SCOTT dealer maintain and service your SCOTT speed

pedelec regularly; they can replace the parts in question, if necessary.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

For your own safety, bring your SCOTT speed pedelec to your SCOTT dealer for

its first inspection after 100 to 300 kilometres (60 to 180 miles), 5 to 15 hours of

initial use or four to six weeks, and at the very latest after three months.

If you have a certain degree of mechanical skills, experience and suitable

tools, such as a torque wrench, you should be able to do the checks marked

· by yourself. If you come across any defects, take appropriate measures

without delay. If you are in doubt or if you have any questions, contact your

SCOTT dealer.
