Rinsing the device

NOTE!

• Never operate the co ee maker un lled, without water in the

water tank.

• Fill the water tank only with cold, fresh water. Hot or warm

water or other liquids can damage the device.

DANGER!

• The water tank should only be  lled up to the mark ‘MAX’.

Never over ll the water tank! RISK OF SCALDING!

• Steam escapes the device which may cause scalding to un-

protected skin. During operation do not open the swing  lter or

the cover of the water tank. RISK OF SCALDING!

1. Open the swing  lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.

2. Make sure that the used paper  lter has been removed from the swing  lter (3) and is

disposed. Ensure that there are no co ee residues in the swing  lter (3).

3. Close the swing  lter (3) until it snaps into place.

4. Fill the co ee pot (5) with cold water.

5. Open the lid of the water tank (1) and pour the water into the water tank (2) up to the

mark ‘MAX’.

6. Close the lid of the water tank (2).

7. Place the co ee pot (5) with closed lid onto the hot plate (6).

Ensure that the co ee pot (5) is placed correctly under the outlet and that it presses up the

valve in the outlet.

8. Connect the device to the power supply.

9. Press the On/O switch (4) to start the co ee maker. The operation indicator lights up to

con rm the start of operation.

10. Let the heated water  ow into the co ee pot (5) until the water tank (2) is empty.

11. Turn o the device by pressing the On/o switch (4). The operation indicator goes out.

12. Empty and clean the co ee pot (5).

Descaling

1. Open the swing  lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.

2. Make sure that the used paper  lter has been removed from the swing  lter (3) and is

disposed. Ensure that there are no co ee residues in the swing  lter (3).

3. Close the swing  lter (3) until it snaps into place.

4. Fill the co ee pot (5) with cold water.

5. Open the lid of the water tank (1) and pour the water into the water tank (2) up to the

mark ‘MAX’.

6. Add descaler (dosage according to instructions) or 80ml vinegar essence to the water in the

water tank (2).

7. Close the lid of the water tank (1).

8. Place the co ee pot (5) with closed lid onto the hot plate (6). Ensure that the co ee pot (5) is

placed correctly under the outlet and that it presses up the valve in the outlet.

9. Connect the device to the power supply.
