3 WHAT YOUR 3 YEAR WARRANTY MEANS

Great care has gone into the manufacture of this product and it should therefore provide you with years of good service when used

properly. In the event of product failing within its intended use over the course of the first 3 years after the date of purchase, we will

rectify the problem as quickly as possible once it has been brought to our attention. In the unlikely event of such an occurrence, or if

you require any information about the product, please contact us via our helpline support services, details of which are to be found both

in this manual and on the product itself. Please read the instructions and keep them in a safe place for reference.

Field of Application

The sunrise alarm clock is intended to be used as an alarm clock. It can also be used as a reading lamp. The sunrise alarm clock

generates the smooth atmosphere of a summer sunrise accompanied by melodies from nature. Light reduces the level of the sleeping

hormone melatonin. The production of certain hormones which control our well-being and our activities is stimulated.

The sunrise alarm clock is designed for private use; it is not suited for commercial use. Any application other than the one described in

this user guide is deemed to be inadmissible and may cause damage and/or injury. We do not assume liability for damage caused by

unintended use. Further notes and explanations are provided in the user guide.

4 SAFETY

4.1 Safety instructions

Please read this chapter with care and observe all instructions included. Thus, you will ensure reliable operation. Keep the packaging

and this user guide at a safe place so that you can hand it out to any new owner of this sunrise alarm clock.

• Never open the housing of the sunrise alarm clock. It does not contain any parts which require maintenance. (Exception: the

opening of the battery compartment for battery change; see chapter 7 "Battery change").

• Do not deposit any objects on the sunrise alarm clock and do not apply pressure to the display. Otherwise you risk breaking the

display.

• In order to avoid damage, never touch the display with pointed objects.

• Use the sunrise alarm clock together with the supplied mains adapter only.

• Set up the sunrise alarm clock close to a socket. Make sure that the sunrise alarm clock is easily accessible.

• Do not use the mains adapter in the open air; use it in dry rooms only. Do not subject the mains adapter to humidity, and avoid

any contact with liquids.

• Do not cover the mains adapter. Provide adequate ventilation in order to avoid overheating of the mains adapter.

• In case of damage or defects to the mains adapter, it must be properly disposed of. Do not use damaged or defective mains

adapters. Replace the mains adapter by one of the same type only. Please contact our service centre in this case. The address is

provided on the warranty card.

• Remove the mains adapter from the socket before you clean the sunrise alarm clock or if the sunrise alarm clock is not used for a

longer period.

• Never try to repair the sunrise alarm clock by yourself. Please contact our service address for any repair.

Risks for children and individuals requiring assistance

This device is not intended for use by children and individuals with limited physical, sensorial or

emotional capacities or limited experience and / or knowledge unless they are supervised by an

individual responsible for their safety or receive instructions from the latter as to how the device

should be used and have understood the dangers arising from it. Children should be supervised in

order to ensure that they do not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be

4.2 Mains adapter operation

The sunrise alarm clock is operated with a mains adapter. At first, the adapter plug must be inserted in the connector socket of the

sunrise alarm clock. Then the power adapter must be inserted in the socket.
