These markings can also be found on the
temperature control knob of the iron in
the form of dot symbols.
● Laundry to be ironed should be sorted
according to the fabric ironing
temperature. Follow the ironing symbols
and start with the lowest temperature.
● When ironing highly sensitive fabrics, or
if you are not sure about the fabric,
carefully test-iron on a non-visible point,
e.g. inside a seam. Always start with the
lowest temperature.
● If the laundry is put into a dryer before
ironing, the temperature should be
adjusted to ‘iron dry’. Very dry fabrics
are difficult to iron.
Start up
Before it is used for the first time, the iron
should be Before being used for the first
time, the iron should be heated up and
cleaned as follows:

Fill the reservoir with clean tap water.

Place the iron on its rest and insert the
plug into a suitable wall socket.
Use their respective On/Off switches to
turn on the boiler and iron. The integral
indicator lights will come on.

Set the temperature control to its
maximum setting.

As the iron is heating up, the indicator
lamp on the iron will be on. It goes out
once the required ironing temperature is
reached.

When the boiler has heated the water to
the temperature required for steam
ironing, the steam indicator light comes
on.
● As the indicator lamp on the iron goes
out and the steam indicator light comes
on, pass the sole plate over a clean cotton
cloth, while using the steam button to
clean the sole plate.
● Now clean the appliance according to the
instructions given in the paragraph
General Care and Cleaning.
● This will remove possible dust particles
from the sole plate and subsequently
lessen the smell typically encountered
when first switching on. Ensure sufficient
ventilation.
Steam regulator
The steam regulator is used to control the
steam output mode:
steam output from steam nozzle
steam output from sole plate only
steam output from sole plate and
steam nozzle combined
Use the steam regulator to select the desired
setting. As soon as the steam button is
pressed, steam is emitted in the selected
mode.
Ironing
● Steam ironing requires high
temperatures. The temperature level for
steam ironing is indicated on the
temperature control knob.

Fill the water reservoir with clean tap
water.

Place the iron on its rest and insert the
plug into a suitable wall socket.

The iron rest can be tilted to a convenient
angle to facilitate setting the iron down.

Use the respective On/Off switches to
switch on the boiler and iron. The
integral indicator lights will come on.

Set the temperature control knob to the
required ironing temperature according
to the ironing symbols.

As the iron is heating up, the indicator
lamp on the iron will be on. It goes out
once the required ironing temperature is
reached.

As soon as the boiler has heated the
water to the temperature required for
steam ironing, the steam indicator light
comes on.
