∙ Clean the appliance as described in the
section Cleaning and care.
Operation
Ice-cream bowl
∙ To make ice-cream, the ice-cream bowl
must be chilled at a minimum of -18°C for
at least 8 hours.
∙ When handling the bowl, ensure that your
hands are dry or use suitable gloves.
∙ Verify that the ice-cream bowl is
thoroughly chilled, by shaking it if
no liquid appears to move inside, the
required degree of chilling has been
reached.
Hint:
To prevent the contents of the bowl from
melting, the bowl should only be taken
from the freezer shortly before use.
∙ If the bowl is kept permanently in a
freezer, you will be able to make ice-
cream at any time.
Preparation
∙ Cool the ice-cream bowl for approx. 8
hours (see section Ice-cream bowl).
∙ Prepare all ingredients according to the
chosen recipe. The maximum fi ll capacity
is 1 litre.
∙ Place the chilled ice-cream bowl into the
housing.
∙ Place the drive unit into the lid and fi t the
stirring insert into the drive mechanism on
the drive unit.
∙ Place the lid and drive unit onto the
housing and push the assembly down
lightly until it is heard locking into place.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
∙ Use the On/Off switch to turn the unit
on. The bowl starts rotating. Feed the
ingredients slowly through the chute into
the bowl.
∙ Depending on the temperature of the
ice bowl and the ingredients, the desired
consistency of the ice-cream should be
achieved after 20 to 40 minutes.
∙ After a certain time, the motor reverses
direction. Such changes of direction
becoming frequent at short intervals
indicates that the ice-cream has reached
a fi rm consistency, and at this point the
appliance should be switched off without
delay.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall outlet.
∙ Push the lid release and remove the lid
and drive unit from the housing.
∙ Use a plastic spatula or other suitable
implement to remove the ice-cream.
Caution: Do not use any metal
objects.
∙ If you prefer a fi rmer consistency, transfer
the ice-cream into an air-tight container
and place it in a freezer until the desired
consistency is reached.
