 To prevent damage to the power cord,

- do not bend or kink the cable, especially

where it leaves the housing,

- do not pull on the cord,

- do not coil the power cord around the

appliance.

 Do not leave the appliance unattended

while in use.

 Always switch off and remove the

plug from the wall socket after use,

as well as

- in cases of malfunction, and

- during cleaning.

 When removing the plug from the wall

socket, never pull on the power cord;

always grip the plug itself.

 Do not place the appliance on any surfaces

sensitive to heat during or immediately after

use.

 No responsibility will be accepted if damage

results from improper use, or if these

instructions are not complied with.

 This appliance is intended for domestic or

similar applications, such as in

- shops, ofﬁ ces and other similar working

environments,

- agricultural areas,

- hotels, motels etc. and similar

establishments,

- bed-and breakfast type environments.

 In order to comply with safety regulations

and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical

appliances must be carried out by qualiﬁ ed

personnel, including the replacement of the

power cord. If repairs are needed, please

send the appliance to one of our customer

service departments. The addresses can be

found in the appendix to this manual.

The IONIC function

The IONIC function facilitates gentle, easy hair

styling by preventing a static charge in the hair.

It uses the build-up of a negative 'ion-cloud'

to prevent 'ﬂ yaway' hair caused by a positive

charge.

The IONIC function is automatically enabled

during use, irrespective of the switch settings.

Styling nozzle

The styling nozzle can be ﬁ tted to the air outlet

to facilitate shaping the hair during blow drying.

Air-ﬂ ow and temperature controls

By using different combinations of the air-ﬂ ow

and temperature controls, various settings are

possible when drying the hair.

The air-ﬂ ow control regulates the air-ﬂ ow

intensity, while the temperature control

regulates the heat of the air-ﬂ ow.

With the air-ﬂ ow control set to the '0'-position,

the hair-dryer is switched off.

Cool function

With the air temperature control at position

2 or 3, the cool function can be used. It will

supply cooler air, which helps ﬁ rming and

shaping the hair.

Operation

Connect the hair dryer to a suitable wall socket

and select the desired power setting with the

switches integrated in the handle.

Cleaning and care

 Before cleaning the hair dryer, remove

the plug from the wall socket and let the

appliance cool down completely.

 To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not

clean the hair dryer with water nor immerse

it in water.

– If necessary, the housing of the hair dryer

may be wiped with a dry lint-free cloth.

– The air intake grill can be removed for

easy cleaning. Remove any accumulated

lint particles or hair; replace the grill after

cleaning.

Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective

appliances in domestic garbage;

this should only be done through

public collection points.
