The coffee maker is switched off, the LCD

display showing 12:00.

∙ To set the time, ﬁ rst press the PROG key.

∙ The internal clock uses a 24-hour display

format. The current time is set by using

the H button for the hours, while the M

button is used to set the minutes.

Example:

∙ The current time is 15.30 (3 pm).

∙ Press the PROG key; the display shows

CLOCK.

∙ Press the H button repeatedly (or keep it

pressed for the necessary length of time)

until the LCD display shows 15:00.

∙ Press the M button (or keep it pressed)

until the LCD display shows 15:30.

∙ After around 15 seconds, CLOCK

disappears from the display and the

appliance is ready for use.

Timer

∙ To start the brewing process with a

delayed timer setting, you must ﬁ rst set

the timer to the desired time.

∙ Press the PROG button twice. The LCD

display shows TIMER and the time last

entered, or 12:00.

∙ Use the buttons H und M to set the

desired time. (If no input is made

within 15 seconds, the TIMER indicator

disappears.)

∙ Press the On/Off button (I/0) twice to turn

the appliance on. The blue indicator light

AUTO comes on. At the pre-programmed

time, the coffee maker will automatically

switch on. The blue indicator light goes

out and the red light comes on.

On/Off button (I/0)

The On/Off button is used to switch between

the three settings 0-I-AUTO:

0 - The appliance is switched off.

No indicator light is on.

I - The appliance is switched on. The

red main indicator light comes on.

AUTO - The appliance automatically

switches on at the pre-

programmed time. The blue

indicator light AUTO comes on.

Aroma function

To obtain a stronger coffee ﬂ avour, the

appliance is equipped with a special aroma

function. With this setting, the hot water

is released at intervals. This is especially

useful when preparing smaller quantities

of coffee. To select this function, press the

On/Off switch for about 2 seconds until the

indicator light begins to ﬂ ash.

Note: This feature is not available when

using the timer function with a pre-selected

starting time.

Before using for the ﬁ rst time

Before making coffee for the ﬁ rst time,

let the appliance go through two or three

ﬁ ltration cycles using the indicated maximum

amount of cold water, but without using

ground coffee. This should also be done

if the appliance has not been used for an

extended period of time, and after descaling.

General information

∙ A measuring scale on the water container

and on the glass carafe facilitates ﬁ lling

the container with the correct amount

of clean water. With a dual-scale, the

left scale is used for regular-sized cups

of approx.125ml, while the right scale is

used for smaller cups. Make sure that the

indicated maximum amount of water is not
