Quick-programming
The most commonly used microwave time-settings can be called up simply by pressing .
With this function, the microwave power setting is always 100%. Each press on the key adds
30 seconds to the cooking time, but if the cooking time exceeds 2:30, 1 minute is added with
each press on the key. The time can be pre-set to a maximum of 12 minutes.
Note: the cooking process starts as soon as the key is pressed for the first time.
Example: to programme the microwave function for a cooking time of 2 minutes at 100%
power
1. Press 4 times. The display shows 2:00, and .
Defrost programme
This defrosting programme is useful for defrosting food, according to its weight. For delicate
food we recommend defrosting on the level ‘Low’ (see table Power settings), to ensure that
the food is defrosted with an even, low temperature setting.
Helpful notes:
-
The defrosting process should be interrupted at regular intervals and those food portions
already defrosted should be taken out; this is to ensure that food already defrosted will
not take away heat from food that still requires defrosting.
-
Food stored in plastic containers or wrapped in plastic should be left standing for a while
after it has been taken from the freezer. Wait until the food can be easily detached from
the plastic, before it is put into the oven inside a container suitable for use with
microwave ovens.
1. Turn the rotary control anti-clockwise to set the weight of the food to be defrosted
(between 100g and 1800g). The display shows Auto, and the selected weight in
grammes.
2. Press to start the defrosting programme. A beep signal is heard and the defrosting
time is displayed.
Note: Halfway through the programmed defrosting time, a double-beep is heard and
the programme automatically stops; this allows you to stir the food to be
defrosted, or to take out those items that are already defrosted. Open the door,
stir or remove the food, then close the door again and press to continue the
programme.
Automatic cooking programmes
These programmes are helpful when cooking or heating up food without having to select any
particular settings, e.g. for power or cooking time.
1. Turn the rotary control clockwise to select the desired menu. The display shows the
symbol ‘Auto’ and the number-code of the selected programme (1 to 9).
2. Press to set the desired weight or programme.
3. Press to start the programme.
