Important safety instructions
Before the appliance is used, the main unit z

be checked thoroughly for any defects.
Should the appliance, for instance, have
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must
not be used any longer: even invisible
damage may have adverse e ects on the
operational safety of the appliance.

when lling the container to the desired
level, observing the Min. and Max.
markings.
Over lling the container may cause z
danger from boiling water being forced
out.
Also beware of the danger of scalding z
from hot steam being emitted around the
spout area. erefore, do not touch any
parts of the appliance except the handle
during use.

Caution! z During the boiling process and
when pouring out hot water, the lid must
be kept closed at all times.
e kettle may only be operated with the z
base provided with the appliance.
e appliance must be used only on a heat- z
resistant and level surface, impervious to
water stains.
Do not allow the appliance or its power z
cord to come into contact with open
ames or any hot surfaces such as hot-
plates.
Do not let the power cord hang free, and z
keep the cord well away from hot parts of
the housing.
Always remove the plug from the wall z
