Vacuum is not picking up debris� No suction or light suction�
(Refer to Maint enance section for more inf ormation�)
• Check filters to see if they need cleaning. Follow instructions for rinsing and drying the
filters before re-inserting in the vacuum.
• Dust cup may be full; empty dust cup.
• Check hose, hose connections, nozzle, and accessories for blockages; clear blockages if
required.
• Remove any string, carpet fibres, or hair that may be wrapped around the brush-r olls.
Vacuum lifts area rugs�
• Turn o unit to disengage the brush-rolls. Move switch to Hard Floor setting to turn on
the slow brush-rolls, which is optimal for bare floors and area rugs.
• Suction is powerful. Take care when vacuuming area rugs or rugs with delicately sewn
edges.
• To minimise suction, refer to Suction Control section for more information on how to use.
Brush -roll/ soft roller does not spin�
• If Brush-roll Indicator Light on the floor nozzle turns red, the brush-r oll and/ or soft
roller ha ve stopped spinning. Immedia tely turn o and unplug vacuum. Disc onnect the
nozzle and r emov e blockage, then r econnect and turn v acuum back on.
• If Brush-roll Indicator light r epeatedly turns r ed while vacuuming carpet, try mo ving
Suction Contr ol slide to MIN.
• With the pow er on, recline the handle , which will automatically turn on the brush-r olls.

• This v acuum is equipped with a motor-prot ective thermos tat. If your v acuum
o verheats, the thermosta t will automatically turn the suction motor o . Perform the
follo wing steps to r estart thethermostat:
1. T urn vacuum o and unplug it.
2. Empty dust cup and clean filters ( see Maintenance section).
3. Check for blockages in hose , accessories, and inlet openings.
4. Allo w unit to cool for a minimum of 45 minut es.
5. Plug in vacuum and turn it on.
• If hose is not fully connected t o the pod, it can cause a poor electrical connection and
the hose can come loose, turning the v acuum o .
1. T urn vacuum o and unplug it.
2. Empty dust cup and clean filters.
3. Check for blockages in hose , accessories, and inlet openings.
4. Remo ve c ord fr om cord hook so hose la tch can be seen and engaged.
5. Ensure y ou hear an audible click at all connection points:
a. Wher e hose meets back of pod (may r equire additional for ce; pull on hose to
ensure la tch is fully engaged)
b. Wher e wand plugs int o floor nozzle
c. Wher e handle plugs into wand
6. Plug in vacuum and turn it on.

How do I regis ter my e xtended Shark guarant ee?
Y ou can regist er your guar antee online within 28 days of pur chase. T o save time, y ou’ll need the follo wing
information about y our machine:
• Date y ou purchased the machine (r eceipt or delivery not e)
• T o r egister online, please visit shark clean.eu/ uk/ regist er-guarantee
• Serial Number

• Both the 2 year and e xtended 3 year guar antee will only co ver y our product fr om the date of pur chase.
• Please keep y our receipt a t all times. Should you need to use y our ext ended guarantee w e will need your

Our confidence in our design and quality c ontrol means that y our new Shark v acuum cleaner is guaranteed

What is co ver ed by the free Shark guar antee ?
Repair or replac ement of your Shark machine (at Shark’ s discretion), including all parts and labour . A Shark
guarant ee is in addition to your legal rights as a c onsumer .
What is not co ver ed by the free Shark guar antee ?
• Blockages – For details of ho w to unblock y our vacuum cleaner , please refer to the Oper ating Manual.
• Normal wear and t ear such as brush bar , fuse, belt, batt eries etc.
• Ac cidental damage, faults caused by negligent use or car e, misuse, neglect, car eless operation or
handling of the vacuum cleaner which is not in ac cordanc e with the Shark Operating Manual supplied
with your machine .
• Use of the vacuum cleaner for an ything other than normal domestic household purposes.
• Use of parts not assembled or installed in acc ordance with the oper ating instructions.
• Use of parts and acces sories which are not Shark Genuine Components.
• Faulty installa tion (e xcept wher e installed by Shark).
• Repairs or alter ations carried out by parties other than Shark or its agents.
What happens when my guar antee runs out?
Shark does not design products t o last for a limited time. W e do appreciate that ther e may be a desire f or
our customers t o want to r epair their vacuum cleaners after the guar antee has elapsed. In this case please
