Audio buttons and volume control
When you integrate an audio module in OpenScape Desktop Client, various
audio buttons appear on the main bar - depending on the hardware and user
preferences set. These audio buttons help you to activate the associated
functions quickly and effectively:
Ending a connection
• Press the Headset on/off key on the main bar.
Or
• Replace the handset in the holder.
Or
• Press the speaker key if the connection was accepted with the speaker key.
Initiating an
outgoing connection
• Press the Headset on/off key on the main bar.
Or
• Remove the handset from the holder.
Then dial the number.
Alternatively:
Dial the number first, then remove the headset from the holder.
Microphone (mute)
on/off
• Press the Microphone on/off key on the main bar. To deactivate the mute
function, press the key once more.
Or
• If provided/displayed, you can also press the Microphone key on the OpenScape
Desktop Client phone’s keypad or the extended keypad.
Open listening on/off If an active speaker is connected to the Plathosys CT-220, press Speaker on/off on
the main bar to activate and deactivate open listening.
Open listening (speakerphone) can only be activated at the start of a connection, not during
an existing connection.
Button Function / Meaning
Lift receiver
(the handset or alternative audio device provided):
• In the event of a connection request, for example, incoming call:
accept and establish a connection.
• In idle state
lift (handset or alternative audio device provided).
