Intended purpose
This is an entertainment electr onics device. T he Bluetoo th loudspeak er is in-
tended for playing sound from audio devices via Bl uetooth or usin g the
3.5 mm jack socket.
The device is designed for private use. This device must not be used for com-
mercial purposes.
Do not make any changes or c arr y out any repairs. The manufacturer is not
liable for damage or ma lfunctions caused by im proper repairs or modifica-
tions. This is the so le responsibility of the user .

~Do not expose the device to direct sunshine or heat. The ambient tem-
perature should not b e lower than 10 °C or higher than 40 °C. Please
remember that in a car the storage temperature may significantly ex-
ceed 4 0 °C .
~If the devic e is to be char ged via a USB 2.0 or 3.0 co mputer socke t, at
least one more USB 2.0 or 3.0 computer socket must be available. Un-
less this is the case, the loud speaker must not be charged.
~The battery may o nly be charged with the original accessory (U SB
charger cable).
W A RNING! Risk of material damage
~If you notice any irregulariti es (e.g. unusual noise s, strange s mells or
smoke developing) turn the device off immediately and remove all ca-
bles. Do not use the de vice any longer .
~If the device is move d from a cold location to a war m location, conden-
sate may form in the device. Leave the device switched off for a few
hours to become acclimatised.
~Pr otect the device against damage, e.g. from:
- Drips and water splashes
- Heat, direct sun radiation and open flames (e.g. cand les)
- Knock s and simila r violent eff ects
~Pr otect the cable aga inst damage, e.g. from:
- sharp edges
- hot places
- clamping or c rushing
~Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.

Before using for the first time
• Remove all packing materials.
• Remove the protective film on the underside of th e device.
• Check that the device is undamaged. A damaged de vice must never be
used.
Overview Charging
W ARNING!
~The device must not be co vered while the batter y is charging.
~The device must only be char ged in a dr y environment.
NO TES:
• When using a U SB power unit (not in cluded in items supplied), comply
with its user ins tructions. T he USB power unit mus t be able to output at
least 1A output c urrent.
• Charge the batter y fully before using the device.
• The maximum batter y ca pacity is reached after approx. 4 - 5 c harging
cycles.
• At a batter y capacity of less than approx. 10%, an audio signal wil l
sound once and the charging LED12 will be lit red until the device au-
tomatically switches itself off.
• The charging time of an empty batter y is approx. 2 - 2.5 hours. Play-
back is possible during the charging process, however this extends the
charging time.
1. Connect the Micro USB plug of the USB charger cable1 to the Micro
USB port3 of the device.
2. Connect the USB-A plug of the US B charger cable 1 e.g. to the USB
port of a PC or to a USB power uni t (not included in items supplied).
The charging LED12 is lit red and goes out when the batter y is fully
charged.

NOTE: it is possible that not all of the functions will be suppor ted by all au-
dio devices. This is not a device error .

Establishing a Bluetooth connection
NOTES:
• The identification of the loudspeaker is “ SBL 3 A2” .
• After switching on, the loudspeaker automatically tries to reconnect to
the last paired device or to establish a new conn ection.
• Please obser ve th at establishing the connection may var y slightly de-
pending on the audio de vice and the software used.
• The Bluetooth r ange is 10 metres.
• The l oudspeak er switch es off if n o Bluetooth connecti on can be est ab-
lished within 10 minutes.
• With moderate volume settings, the loudspeaker can be used for a
playback period of approx. 19 hours with the Bluetooth connection es-
tablished.
• If you pass the loudspeaker on to s omeone else, i n order to protect your
data and your privacy, you should disconn ect the Blu etooth conne ction
to the device and delete it from the connection list on your smartphone.
1. If necessar y, remove the plug of the 3.5 m m stereo jack cable2 from
the jack socket4 .
2. Switch the lo udspeaker on using th e button 6 . An audio signal
sounds. The LED11 flashes wh ite. The Bluetooth identification of the de-
vice is sent.
3. Switch on the aud io device (e.g. smartpho ne) and star t the Bluetooth
connection. The audio device should now receive the device identifica-
tion “SBL 3 A 2 ”.
4. Establish a connection to the Bluetooth lo udspeaker on the audio de-
vice. Both devices ar e now interconnected. The LED 11 on the devic e
flashes white slowly a nd an audio signal sounds.
N OT E : it is possible that a udio devices remember the identification of the
loudspeaker . Thus it is possible that a new connection may not be have to
be established manually while the Bluetooth function is activated.
5. Now , start the playback of a music track on the audio device. The
sound is played back via the l oudspeaker5 .
