For overcasting
To sew curved part, select
zigzag stitch pattern (small) or
(medium) to produce narrrow
width and short length stitches.
Adjust position of fabric so that
needle enters slightly outside
applique parts.

Position fabric under presser
foot so that needle enters
just fabric edge.
For applique
Select a stitch pattern to be sewn and press pictogram.
Place fabric at sewing starting position and start machine.
Sewing machine sews three
back tack stitches first, and
continuously sews the
material in normal direction.
When predetermined seam
end is reached, press reverse
stitch button. Then, machine
will back tack three stitches,
stop at predetermined position
and trim both needle thread
and bobbin thread.

* Be sure to stop machine with reverse stitch button. If you stop
machine without pressing reverse stitch button and
re-start sewing from a different sewing position, machine will
start sewing of previous stitch pattern without performing back
tacking (unless you select a different stitch pattern).

Manual stitch length: Set a new length by changing stitch
length shown on LCD screen.
To increase stitch length,
press pictogram.
To decrease stitch length,
press pictogram.

To change zigzag width,
press or pictograms.
