Speed control for smooth starting 7
Maximum speed control
With wheel C/F the maximum speed can be adjusted
from low to high (1-5)
6460/6463/6464 23
- switch on the tool
- lock the switch
- turn wheel C to select maximum speed
6466 4
- set switch G in drilling position
- switch on the tool
- turn wheel F to select maximum speed
Torque control (6466) 4
With wheel F the amount of torque delivered by the
chuck can be adjusted steplessly from minimum to
maximum (1-5)
- set switch G in screwdriving position (maximum
speed is adjusted automatically)
- switch on the tool
- turn wheel F to select torque
- to prevent overtightening of screws, always start with
low torque and adjust accordingly
When torque has reached its adjusted value, the rotation
of the chuck will stop; if subsequently load is removed
from the tool while the on/off switch is still activitated,
the tool continues to run at very low speed for safety
reasons; release switch A briefly to resume operation
Changing direction of rotation 8
- when not properly set in left/right position, switch A
cannot be activated
! change direction of rotation only when tool is at a
complete standstill
Normal drilling/screwdriving versus hammer drilling 9
! select drilling function only when tool is switched
off
Changing bits 0!@
- insert the bit as deep as possible in the chuck
! do not use bits with a damaged shank
