5.5.3 Access Comparison List
Means of accessing the comparison list:
• Access the comparison list via the project tree
• Access the comparison list via the window "Design suggestions"
Access the comparison list via the project tree
Requirements:
☐ The comparison list must contain design variants (see Section 5.5.1).
• In the project tree, select a part project by right clicking it and select "Compare designs" in the
context menu.
☑The window "Design comparison" (comparison list) opens.
Access comparison list via the "Design suggestions" window
Requirements:
☐ The comparison list must contain design variants (see Section 5.5.1).
☐ All PV arrays in the part project have to be configured in the part project (see Section 5.4.4).
1. In the project tree, select a part project.
☑The "PV plant" opens.
2. Select [Design suggestions] in any "PV array name" tab.
☑The "Design suggestions" window opens.
3. In the "Design suggestions" window, select the "Part project name" tab.
4. In the column "Compare", activate the check-box for the design suggestions to be compared.
5. Select [Compare designs].
☑The window "Design comparison" (comparison list) opens.
5.6 Edit Project
5.6.1 Open Existing Project
You can directly open the following file types in Sunny Design from software version 2.0:
• Sunny Design project files from software version 2.0 (*.sdp 2)
• Sunny Design project files from software version 1.53 or later (*.sdpr)
You can convert project files created with versions of Sunny Design older than 1.52 into a permitted
file format by opening and closing the desired project file in Sunny Design version 1.53 or higher.
Sunny Design saves the project file automatically in a compatible file format.
1. Select File > Open project.
2. Select the desired file type in the drop-down list "File type" in the "Open" window.
3. Select the desired project file and click [OK].
