6. Select [OK].
☑ Sunny Design starts the update search in the selected time interval.
☑The "Online update" window opens after a successful search.
✖ What if the update search does not start or is interrupted?
Your computer is not connected to the Internet or to the SMA Update Portal.
• Ensure that there is a connection to the Internet and if necessary inform the system
administrator.
7. Select the components for which you need updates. At least 1 of the following components must
be selected:
• Program components and information.
• Databases for inverters, locations and PV modules.
8. Select [Start].
☑ Start searching for updates. Search status is displayed in the status bar.
☑ Sunny Design automatically installs the found updates after a successful search.
7.4 Change Settings for Automatic Online Update
1. Select Tools > Change settings.
☑The "Settings" window opens.
2. Select the "Online update" area and make the desired changes:
• To deactivate the automatic search for updates, deactivate the "Activate automatic search
for updates" check-box.
• To change the time interval for automatic update search, select the desired time interval in
the "Interval" drop down list in the "Settings" area.
3. Select [OK].
