Operation

Lock/ child safety device

The lock can be used to block operation and settings (e.g. power setting 4).

The cooking zones are grouped (see illustration) and can all be locked

together (see symbol ).

An activated lock will remain activated even if the hob is switched off! The

lock hence also serves as a child safety device in order to prevent the hob

from being operated unintentionally or intentionally.

Switching on

1. Press the

plus key

and the

minus key

simultaneously with the

symbol until the symbol is shown. The cooking zones will be

locked. As soon as a key is pressed the symbol will re-appear to

remind you of the lock function.

Switching off

2. Press the

plus key

and the

minus key

with the symbol

simultaneously until the symbol goes off. The cooking zones will

have been released again.

Note:

• It is possible to switch the cooking zone off if the lock has been activated by

means of pressing the

ON/OFF key

. The lock will remain activated.

Power boost setting (P)

The power boost setting makes additional power available for induction

cooking zones. A large quantity of water can be brought to the boil very

quickly.

1. The cooking zone must be switched on.

2. Press the

power key

once in order to activate the power boost

setting. The power display will show a (booster).

3. In order to switch off the power boost setting press the

minus key

the

ON/OFF key

Power management

For technical reasons two cooking zones always comprise a module and

have a maximum power level.

If this power range is exceeded when a higher power setting level or the

power boost function is switched on the power management system will

reduce the power setting of the corresponding cooking zone of the module.

This will be shown in the display of the respective cooking zone.
