Firmware Upgrade

Use one of the following methods to update the rmware:

◦ Auto Upgrade. Retrieving a rmware update le from a remote host computer and accessed via a URL.

This central location may be arranged by you, an authorized dealer, or your SIP service provider.

a. Enter the URLs in the text elds of Base Firmware URL and Handset Firmware URL.

b. Click Update Base Firmware Now and Update Handset Firmware Now to update immediately.

◦ Manual Upgrade. Using a le located on your computer or local network. No connection to the Internet

is required. Consult your dealer for access to rmware update les.

a. Click Choose File underneath the text elds of Base File and Handset File Name. The le name

appears in the respective text eld.

b. Click Update from File to update the base station rmware. Click Install Handset File to update the

handset rmware.

Auto Upgrade

Firmware Server Settings Description

Base Firmware URL The URL where the update le for the base station rmware resides. This should be a

full path, including the lename of the rmware le.

Handset Firmware URL The URL where the update le for the handset rmware resides. This should be a full

path, including the lename of the rmware le.

Server authentication name Authentication username for the rmware server.

Server authentication password Authentication password for the rmware server.

Manual Upgrade

Manual Firmware Update Settings Description

Base File Name The URL where the update le for the base station rmware resides. This should be

a full path, including the lename of the rmware le.

Handset File Name The URL where the update le for the handset rmware resides. This should be a

full path, including the lename of the rmware le.

Provisioning page

Provisioning Server Settings Description

Server URL URL of the provisioning le(s). The format of the URL must be RFC 1738 compliant, as

follows:

"<schema>://<user>:<password>@

<host>:<port>/<url-path>"

"<user>:<password>@" may be empty. "<port>" can be omitted if you do not need to

specify the port number.

Server authentication name User name for access to the provisioning server

Server authentication password Password for access to the provisioning server

Plug-and-Play Settings Description

Enable PnP Subscribe Select to enable the phone to search for the provisioning URL via a SUBSCRIBE

message to a multicast address (224.0.1.75). The phone expects the server to reply

with a NOTIFY that includes the provisioning URL. The process times out after ve

attempts.
