IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read through these operating instructions carefully before using your
SOLIS Vapo-flûte, so that you can come acquainted with your appliance and
can operate it safely.
At SOLIS we are very safety conscious. We design and manufacture consumer
products with the safety of you, our valued customer, foremost in mind. In
addition we ask that you exercise a degree of care when using any electrical
appliance and adhere to the following precautions.
We thoroughly recommend that you keep these instructions and, if you pass
the appliance on, that you also hand these instructions to the new owner.
Remove and safely discard any packaging material and promotional labels be-
fore using the appliance for the first time.
Before using your appliance, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance
matches the mains supply voltage.
Never carry the appliance by the power cable and do not place it on the power
cable.
Never place the appliance on the edge of a table or worktop. The surface should
be level, clean, dry and moisture resistant.
Never place the appliance near to or on a heater, oven or other electrical appli-
ance. It must not come into contact with other heat sources, as this may lead
to discolouring or deformation of the plastic components. Also, direct sunlight
or extreme cold temperatures should be avoided.
Keep the appliance clear of walls, curtains and other heat or steam sensitive
materials. Keep a minimum 20 cm of space on all sides of the appliance.
Always make sure that the appliance is correctly assembled before plugging it
into the mains and using it.
Never use the appliance without any water. Caution: only remove the water
reservoir when the appliance is switched off and only switch it on again once
the reservoir when filled with water has been inserted again.
When filling the tank, only use fresh, lukewarm water (10°C to 50°C). Never
put additives such as essential oils or perfumes into the water. We recommend
that you do not use the appliance if your water hardness is over 25°fH.
Unwind the power cord fully before use.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot sur-
faces.
