Activating Your Phone
Complete the following steps to activate your Sonim XP STRIKE.
● If you purchased your phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated and ready to use.
● If you received your phone in the mail and it is for a new Sprint account or a new line of
service, it is designed to activate automatically.
When you turn the phone on for the first time, a Contacting network screen is
displayed. Follow the onscreen instructions to continue.
If required, PRL Update and Firmware Update screens are displayed. Complete the
onscreen instructions to update your phone.
● If you received your phone in the mail and you are activating a new phone for an existing
number on your account (you’re swapping phones), you can activate on your computer
online or directly on your phone.
Activating an Existing Number using a New Phone
Complete the following steps to activate an existing phone number on your new Sonim XP
STRIKE.
Note: Switch OFF the old phone before you switch ON the new phone.
1. Turn on your new phone. Your phone will automatically attempt Hands-Free Activation.
2. Select Activate to start the activation wizard.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the activation.
4. To confirm activation, make a phone call. If your phone is still not activated or you do not
have access to the Internet, contact Sprint Customer Service at 1-888-211-4727 for
assistance.
Note: Do not press the Power button while the phone is being activated. Pressing the Power
button cancels the activation.

Setting Up Voicemail Box
When you activate your voicemail box, unanswered incoming calls will be forwarded to your
voice mail. Callers will be prompted to leave a message for you. This feature requires you to
enter a voice mail number provided by your service provider.
You should set up your Sprint Voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is
activated. Always use a password to protect against unauthorized access. Your phone
