1 Press D AB AUT O SCAN on the unit.
“ A UT O SCAN” and “PUSH ENTR ” a ppear .
2 Press PUSH ENTER on the unit (or ENTER on the
remote) .
Scanning begins. e scanning progr ess is indicated
by adva ncing asterisks. Depending on the D AB
ser vices available in y our area, scanning ma y ta ke a
few minu tes.
When scanning is co mplete, a list o f available services
is creat ed.
Notes
• If your coun tr y or region does not su pport DAB br oadcast, “NO
SER V” appears.
• Do not press an y butto n on the unit or the remot e during DAB
A utomatic Scan. Scanning is int err upted and service list may no t b e

Notes on Repeat Play
• All tracks or les on a disc are pla yed repeatedly up to ve times.
• Y o u cannot select “REP” and “ ALL DISCS S HUF ” at the same time.
• “REP 1” indicates tha t a single track or le is repeated until you s top
it.
Notes on playing MP3 discs
• Do not save other types of les or unnecessa r y folders on a disc that
has MP3 les.
• Folders that h ave no MP3 les are skip pe d.
• MP3 les are played back in the o rder that they are recor ded onto
the disc.
• e system can only pla y MP3 les that have a le extensio n of
“ .MP3. ”
• If there are les o n the disc that have the “ .MP3” le extension,
but tha t are not MP3 les, the unit may p roduce noise or ma y
malfunction.
• e maximum num ber of:
– folders is 255 (incl uding the root folder).
– MP3 les is 511.
–
MP3 les and folders tha t can be contained on a single disc is 512.
– folder levels (the tree structure o f les) is 8.
• Compatibility wi th al l MP3 encoding/writing soware, r ecording
device, and recor ding media cannot be guaranteed. I ncompatible
MP3 discs may pr oduce noise or interrupt ed audio or may not p lay
at all.
Notes on playing multisession discs
• If the disc begins with a CD-DA (o r MP3) session, it is recognized as
a CD-DA (o r MP3) disc, and other sessions ar e not played back.
• A disc with a mixed CD format is r ecognize d as a CD-DA (a udio)
disc.
Listening to the radio
Before yo u can receive D AB, you m ust comp lete the
D AB Au tomatic Scan pr o cedure (see “Befor e using the
system ”).
