Basic playback operations
To Operation on the player (Operation on the remote is in
parentheses)
Play
Play from a point
where you stopped
the player previously
Press the 5-way control key (/ENT).

Play from the first
track
From stop, press and hold the 5-way control key (/ENT) until
playback starts.

Search
Select a track directly
viewing track number

Turn the jog dial to select the desired track, and then press the 5-way
control key (/ENT).
Find the beginning of
the current track or
previous tracks
Push the 5-way control key toward once, or push the 5-way
control key toward repeatedly until you reach the beginning of
the desired track.
(Press once, or press repeatedly to select the desired track.)
Find the beginning of
the next track
Push the 5-way control key toward once.
(Press once.)
Go backwards or
forward
During playback or pause, push and hold the 5-way control key toward
/.
(During playback or pause, hold /.)
Cue to the next or
previous group while
playing track in a
group* (Group skip)
Push the 5-way control key toward +/– repeatedly.
(Press +/– repeatedly.)
Remove the disc
Press /CANCEL and open the lid**. (Press and open the lid.)
* Cues to the beginning of every 10th track during playback of the disc with no group settings.
** Once you open the lid, the point to start play will change to the beginning of the first track.
Notes
The playback sound may skip if:
– the player is subjected to strong, repeated shocks.
– a dirty or scratched disc is played.
When using a disc in Hi-MD mode, the sound may drop out for a maximum of about 12 seconds.
