Inserting a SIM card and memory card
Your device supports nano SIM cards.
The XQ-CT54 supports the use of one nano SIM card and a memory card. You can use the device as a dual SIM device
by inserting a nano SIM card and configuring an eSIM.
The XQ-CT62/XQ-CT72 supports the use of either two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM card and a memory card.
Note
Even if you use two SIMs that support 5G, you can only use 5G on the SIM set for data traffic. You cannot use 5G on two SIMs at
the same time.

is available on your device when you purchase it, for example, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, and the Google Play

Synchronize your email, contacts, and calendar using Gmail.
You can back up, restore, and transfer your data.
Chat with friends using the Google Duo application.
Synchronize your browsing history and bookmarks using the Chrome web browser.

Charging your device
You can charge your device from a wall socket or computer. You can still use your device while charging.
If the battery is depleted, it may take up to 10 minutes for your device to respond to the charging. During this time, the
screen may remain completely dark, not showing the charging icon. It can take couple of hours for a completely drained
battery to be fully charged. Charging speed may be affected by ambient temperature.
Always use the Sony-branded charger and USB cable, since other types of chargers and USB cables may pose
increased safety risks.
Note
Your device has an embedded, rechargeable battery that can only be replaced by an authorized Sony service partner. Never try
to open or take apart the device yourself. Doing so can cause damage and void your warranty.
Hint
A wall socket charger will charge your device faster than charging via computer. You can still use your device while charging.

Be sure to remove any screen or phone covers when using the wireless charging function.
Note the following:
Do not put any metal parts between the device and the charger, due to risk of heat injury.
Do not put any credit cards on the charger, since they may get demagnetized or broken.

Color and brightness
Your camera automatically adjusts the color and brightness value by detecting the light conditions and estimating the
color temperature of ambient light. Digital cameras can only estimate the color temperature, so you may need to adjust

If you experience yellow-colored photos in indoor environments or bluish photos when using the flash, try adjusting the
color.

Music Pro
Music Pro enables you to up-convert tracks that you recorded on an Xperia to Sony Music professional-studio quality
using cloud AI processing. You can simulate the sound of Sony vacuum tube mics and Sony Music studio reverb, as well
as reduce noise using specially developed audio separation technology.
You can import audio files and listen with headphones while recording. You can also monitor your voice while recording if
you use headphones connected to the 3.5 mm audio jack of your device. On the editing screen, you can layer multiple
takes and compare them, and then choose the best parts from each take to create your ideal track.
You can use Music Pro in the following ways. For more information on using Music Pro, see (Menu icon) > [Usage
tips].
Note
Charges apply when using cloud AI processing. For more information, see (Menu icon) > [Usage tips].
Music Pro may not be available in every market, country, or region.
Audio separation
Sony's AI technology allows you to separate audio sources in a recording. For example, guitar and vocals recorded
simultaneously with a single mic (Xperia) can be separated to individual tracks. Once separated, you can listen to
tracks individually and adjust the volume balance to create your ideal mix.
De-noise
Using audio separation technology, you can remove unintended sounds (noise) from recorded vocals or guitar.
De-reverb
Reduce or remove reverb (room echo) from indoor settings by using Sony's AI technology to recreate the sound
quality of a recording studio.
Mic simulation
Recreate the unique frequency of Sony's high-performance vacuum tube mics.
Studio simulation
Recreate the exquisite sound of professional recording equipment by adding the characteristic resonance of a
recording studio (does not add a reverb effect).
