Compa tible USB devices
Compatibility r equir ements for the USB devices ar e
as follows. Before using a device with this unit,
check that it meets the r equir ements.
Complianc e with USB 2.0 (F ull Speed)
Supports Mass Stor age mode*
* Mass Stor age mode is a mode that allows a USB devic e
to become ac ces sible to a host device , enabling file
transfers. Most USB devices support Mass Stor age
mode.
Notes on the USB devic e
When a USB device is connect ed, the unit r eads all the
files on the device. If there are many folders or files on the
device, it may take a long time for the unit to finish
reading them.
Do not connect a USB devic e to the unit through a USB
hub.
With some connected USB devic es, after an oper ation is
performed, there may be a delay bef ore it is performed by
this unit.
This unit may not support all the functions provided with
a connected USB devic e.
The playback order on this unit may differ fr om the
playback order on a conne cted USB device .
Compa tible BLUET OO TH devices
Compatibility r equir ements for the devices ar e as
follows. Before using a device with this unit, check
that it meets the r equirements.
Devices must c onform to BLUET OOTH St andard
version 2. 1 + EDR.
Devices must support A2DP (Advanc ed Audio

What is BLUET OO TH wir eless
technology?
BLUET OO TH wir eless technology is a short -r ange
wireless t echnology that enables wir eless data
communica tion between digital devic es, such as a
computer and digit al camer a. BLUET OOTH wireles s
technology oper ates within a r ange of about 10 m.
Connecting two devic es as neces sary is common,
but some devices can be c onnected t o multiple
devices at the same time .
Y ou do not need to use a cable f or connection, nor is
it neces sary for the devices to f ace one another ,
such is the case with infr ared t echnology . F or
example, you can use such a device in a bag or
pocket.
BLUET OO TH standar d is an international st andard
supported by thousands of companies all over the
world, and employed by various c ompanies
worldwide.
Maximum communic ation r ange
Maximum communica tion range may shorten under
the following conditions.
Ther e is an obstacle such as a person, met al, or
wall between the unit and BL UET OO TH device .
A wir eless LAN device is in use near the unit.
A micr owave oven is in use near the unit.
A devic e that genera tes electr omagnetic r adiation
is in use near the unit.
The unit is plac ed on a shelf made of steel.

Interfer enc e fr om other devices
Because BLUET OOTH devices and wir eless LAN
(IEEE802. 11b/g/n) use the same frequency ,
microwave int erferenc e may occur and r esulting in
communica tion speed deterior ation, noise, or invalid
connection if the unit is used near a wir eless LAN
device. In such a case, per form the following.
Use the unit at least 10 m aw ay from the wir eless
LAN device.
If the unit is used within 10 m of a wir eless LAN
device, turn off the wireless LAN devic e.
Use the BLUET OOTH device as close t o the unit as
possible.
Interfer enc e to other devic es
Microwaves emitting fr om a BLUET OOTH device may
affect the oper ation of electr onic medical devic es.
T urn off the unit and other BLUETOO TH devices in
the following locations, as it may cause an accident.
wher e inflammable gas is present, in a hospital,
train, airplane, or a gas station
near automa tic doors or a fire alarm
Notes
T o be able to use the BLUETOO TH function, the
BLUET OO TH device to be c onnected r equir es the same
profile as the unit’ s.
Note also that even if the same pr ofile exists, devices may
vary in function depending on their specifications.
Due to the charact eristic of BLUET OO TH wireles s
technology , the sound played on the unit is slightly
delayed from the sound played on the BL UET OO TH device
during listening to the music.
This unit supports security capabilities that comply with
the BLUET OO TH standard t o provide a secur e connection
when the BLUET OO TH wireles s technology is used, but
security may not be enough depending on the setting. Be
careful when c ommunicating using BL UET OOTH wir eless
technology .
We do no t take any r esponsibility for the leakage of
information during BLUET OOTH communica tion.
A device featuring the BL UET OO TH function is requir ed to
conform t o the BLUET OO TH standard spe cified by
Bluetooth SIG, and be authenticated. Even if the
connected devic e conf orms to the above mentioned
BLUET OO TH standard, some devices may not be
connected or work c orre ctly , depending on the features or
specifications of the devic e.
Noise or sound skips may occur depending on the
BLUET OO TH device c onnected with the unit, the
communication en vironment or the usage envir onment.
The USB device is not r ecognized.
T urn off the unit and reconnect the USB devic e,
then turn on the unit.
The USB device is not functioning pr operly . Ref er

WMA: file extension “ .wma”
AAC: file extension “ .m4a, ” “ .3gp” and “ .mp4”
The audio files may have been crea ted in formats
other than MP3/WMA/AAC f ormats.
The USB stor age device uses a file system o ther
than F A T16 or F A T32.*
The files are encrypted or pr ote cted by passwor ds.
* This unit supports F A T16 and FA T32, but some USB stor age
media may not support both file systems.
For det ails, ref er to the opera tion manual of the USB
