T he illumination
has the following two
featur es.
Indication of function change
When switching t o one of five functions, the
center of the illumina tion (white) increases in
intensity to notify the user of a function
change. W hen switching to the Bluet ooth
function, both sides of the illumination ar e also
lit in blue.
Lighting effects f or audio output
Lighting effects (both sides of the illumina tion
are lit in r ed) are cr eated that synchr onize with
the music sourc e. Y ou c an turn this function on

T o turn off the light sync function
T he light sync function cr eates lighting effects
that synchroniz e with the music sourc e. By
default, this function is on, but you c an turn it off
as desired .

OFF” appears on the display .
T o turn on the function, hold down the button
again until “LIGHT SYNC ON” appears.
Playing a music disc
Y ou can play the following types of discs with
this unit.
Audio CDs on which CD-DA tr acks ar e rec orded
in CD-DA disc f ormat
CD-R/CD-RW discs on which MP3 or WMA
audio files are r ecor ded in ISO9660 Level 1/
Level 2 or Joliet

Do not save non-MP3/WMA files or unneces sary
folders to a USB devic e that contains MP3/WMA
files.
During playback, folders that c ontain no MP3/
WMA files are skipped .
T he audio formats supporte d by this unit are as
follows:
MP3: file e xtension “ .mp3”
WMA: file e xtension “ .wma”
Note that even if the file name has the c orrect file
extension but the actual file w as create d in a
different audio f ormat, this unit may produc e
noise or may malfunction.
MP3 PRO format is not supporte d.
WMA files encoded in WMA DRM, WMA L ossless
and WMA PRO formats canno t be played back.
T his unit canno t play audio files on a USB device in
the following cases;
when the t otal number of audio files in a single
folder ex ceeds 999 .
when the t otal number of audio files on a single
USB device e xcee ds 5,000 .
when the t otal number of folders on a single
USB device e xcee ds 255 (including the “ROO T”
folder).
when the dir ectory level (folder depths) e xcee ds
8 (including the “ROO T” f older).
T hese numbers may vary depending on the file
and folder structure .
Compatibility with all enc oding/writing software is
not guar anteed. If audio files on the USB devic e
were originally enc oded with incompatible
software , those files may produc e noise or
interrupte d sound, or may not be played back at
all.
Folder names and file names c an be displayed
using up to 32 char acters, including quotation
marks.
Charact ers and symbols that cannot be displayed
by the unit will appear as “_” .
T his unit conf orms to version 1.0 , 1. 1, 2.2, 2.3 and
2.4 of the ID3 tag format f or MP3 files and the
WMA tag format (defined b y ASF (Advanced
Systems F ormat) specifica tion) for WMA files.
When a file has the ID3 or WMA tag inf ormation,
song title, artist name, and album name will be
displayed. If a file does not have the t ag
information, the unit displays as f ollows:
File name instead of the song title.
“NO ARTIST” message instead of the artist
name.
“NO ALBUM” message instead of the album
name.
ID3 and WMA tag information c an be displayed up
to 32 char acters.
Recor ding music fr om a disc
to a USB devic e
Y ou can recor d a whole disc (Synchr o Recor ding)
or a currently playing tr ack or file (single track
rec ording) to a USB devic e (digital music player
or USB stor age media, etc.).
When r ecor ding from a CD , the tr acks are
rec orded as MP3 files at 128 kbps. When
rec ording fr om an MP3/WMA disc, MP3/WMA
files are r ecor ded with the same bit rat e as the
original MP3/WMA files.

after the name without overwriting the original

Y ou can enjoy music wirelessly via the Bluet ooth
function built in to your devices.
Choose one of the following thr ee connection

Once Bluet ooth devices ar e paired, ther e is no
need to pair those devic es again. However , in the
following case , you will need to perform the
pairing proc edure again.
T he unit is pair ed with 10 or mor e devices.
T he unit can be pair ed with up to 9 Bluetoo th
devices. If a new devic e is paired after 9 devic es
have been paired , the device whose latest
connection time is the oldest among the 9
paired devic es is replace d with the new one.
More than one devic e can be paired with the unit,
but sound will be heard fr om just one of those
devices.

Bluetooth st andby mode makes the unit turn on
and switch to the Bluet ooth function
automaticall y when you try to make a Bluetoo th
connection with a Blue tooth device (only when
the AC power c ord is conne cted).

By just touching the unit with an NFC -compatible
smartphone, the unit is turned on and switched
to the Bluetoo th function automatically and then
paired and c onnected to the smartphone.

Tips

T ouch the unit with the smartphone again to
disconnect.
If you have multiple NFC-c ompatible devices,
just touch the smartphone to a differ ent device
to switch the c onnection to that device . For
example, when your smartphone is c onnected
with NFC-c ompatible headphones, just touch
the smartphone to the unit to change the
Bluetooth c onnection to the unit (One-touch
connection switching).
