HOW T O MEASURE YOUR STRIDE LENG TH
The 4204 Pedometer automaticall y sets your stride l ength based upon your height
input during the Set Up sequence. Y ou may choose to adjus t this s tride length. T o
obtain your personalized measur ement, see belo w .
1. To fi nd out what y our stride is, walk or run 10 steps and then measur e the dis-
tance with a tape measur e fr om the fi rst step’ s toe to the 10th step’ s toe.
2. Divide your total distanc e by 10 to get your average s tride length.
3. For a quick es timate, walk 3 steps, measur e the distance, and divide by 3. The
more s teps you take, the mor e accur ate and realis tic your stride will be. An aver-
