OPERATION
1. General information
1.1 Document information
The chapter "Operation" is intended
for appliance users and qualied con-
tractors.
The chapter "Installation" is intended
for heating contractors.
Note
Read these instructions
carefully before using the
appliance and retain them for fu-
ture reference. Pass on the instruc-
tions to a new user if required.

Never place any objects or
textiles on top of the appli-
ance. These objects or textiles may
catch re.
1.4 Units of measurement
Note
All measurements are given
in mm unless stated other-
wise.
2. Safety
2.1 Intended use
This appliance is intended to heat
small rooms, e.g. toilets.
Any other use beyond that described
shall be deemed inappropriate. Ob-
servation of these instructions is also
part of the correct use of this appli-
ance. Any modications or conver-
sions to the appliance void all war-
ranty rights.
This appliance is designed for domes-
tic use. It can be safely operated by
untrained personnel. The appliance
can also be used in a non-domestic
environment, e.g. in a small business,
as long as it is used in the same way.
2.2 General safety instruc-
tions
Observe the following safety instruc-
tions and regulations.
Operate the appliance only when
fully installed and with all safety
equipment tted.
DANGER Fire
Never operate this appli-
ance
- in rooms at risk from re or ex-
plosion as a result of chemicals,
dust, gases or vapours
- in the direct proximity of pipe-
work or receptacles that carry or
contain ammable or explosive
materials.
- if work such as laying tiles, pol-
ishing or sealing is carried out in
the installation room.
if naphtha, sprays, oor polish or
similar products are handled.
DANGER Electrocution
Only permit qualied con-
tractors to open the ap-
pliance when isolated from the
mains
DANGER Electrocution
Never operate the
appliance if its power
cable has been damaged.
Damaged power cables must
only be replaced by qualied
contractors
DANGER Burns
The surfaces of the ap-
pliance casing and the
expelled air become hot during
operation (above 80 °C).
DANGER Combustion
Never place any flamma-
ble, combustible or insu-
lating objects or materials, such
as laundry, blankets, magazines,
containers with floor polish or
naphtha, spray cans or similar on
the appliance or in direct proxim-
ity to it.

DANGER Injury
Where children or persons
with limited physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities are
allowed to control this appliance,
ensure that this will only happen
under supervision or after appro-
priate instruction by a person re-
sponsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
DANGER Fire
Never cover the appliance
as you risk causing over-
heating.
2.3 Safety clearances
Between the appliance and all adja-
cent objects, for example furniture,
net curtains, curtains, textiles and all
other ammable and non-ammable
materials, you must observe the fol-
lowing minimum clearances:

escape from the appliance without
obstruction.
2.4 Test symbols
See type plate on the appliance.
3. Appliance descrip-
tion
This appliance is an convector heater.
The heated air is transferred evenly
and free of draughts through the ap-
ertures in the top of the appliance to
the ambient air.
The appliance is equipped with a
temperature controller. This ensures
that the selected room temperature
can be maintained constantly.
4. Settings

4.2 Switching the appliance
on
Connect the appliance to the
power supply with the mains
plug supplied.
4.3 Selecting the room tem-
perature
Set the required room tem-
perature with the temperature
selector.
Any temperature from +6°C to45°C
can be selected.
The temperature controller switches
the appliance o automatically when
the required room temperature has
been reached.
The temperature controller switches
the appliance on again automati-
cally when the required room tem-
perature is undershot. The required
room temperature is constantly
maintained.
4.4 Frost protection
Turn the temperature selector to
position **.
The temperature controller switches
the appliance on automatically if the
preselected frost protection tem-
perature is undershot (see chapter
"Specication / Data table").
4.5 Switching the appliance

Disconnect the appliance from
the power supply by unplug-
ging the mains plug.
5. Cleaning, care and
maintenance
If a pale brownish discolouration ap-
pears on the appliance casing, wipe
this off as soon as possible with a
damp cloth. Clean the appliance
when cold with ordinary cleaning
products. Avoid abrasive or corrosive
cleaning products.

Never spray cleaning spray
into the air slot.
Note
As with all heaters, the ris-
ing hot air can result in dis-
colouration of the wall.
6. Troubleshooting
Problem: The appliance does not
heat up.
Cause
Remedy
No room tem-
perature or one
that was too low
was set.
Set the temper-
ature selector
higher.
No power supply.
Check the fuse/
MCB and the
RCD in the do-
mestic distribu-
tion board.
The safety tem-
perature control-
ler has responded
to protect the
appliance from
excessive tem-
peratures.
Notify custom-
er service.
Contact your contractor if you cannot
remedy the fault.
To facilitate and speed up your en-
