If the FW 20 is pushed over objects, the
abrasive wheel may become wedged in
the cut and shatter! Ensure that the
working area is clear.
WARNING
Use of the machine may produce dust,
mist and fumes which may contain
chemical substances which are known
to cause serious injury or illness. Control
dust, mist and fumes at the source
where possible. A water attachment is
available for the FW 20 and cut-off
machine and should be used to bind the
dust if wet cutting is possible. If it is not
possible to avoid inhaling poisonous
dust, mist and fumes, the user and all
bystanders should always wear
respiratory protection approved by
NIOSH / MSHA for the material to be
cut. Note the safety instructions
concerning dust, mists and fumes in the
instruction manual for the cut-off
machine.
Moving cart into working position
N Turn star handle (1)
counterclockwise
N Move guide tube (2) to working
position (A)
N Tighten star handle (1) down in
clockwise direction
N Steady the guide tube
N Move the lever (3) for cutting depth
adjustment to position (A) - the
cutting depth adjustment is released
N Push down the guide tube in the
direction of the arrow until the
wheel (4) hovers above the ground
with the swivel arm
N Hold the cart in this position
N Move the lever (3) for cutting depth
adjustment to position (B) - the
cutting depth adjustment is
engaged
N Relieve the guide tube - the wheel of
the swivel arm rests on the ground
