9.3 Changing the name of the handset
The preset name of the handset can b e changed and replaced by one of your choice. The
name defined appears in the handset display when it is in Standby mode.
1. Press the Menu button
" and use the ( or ) button to select the
HANDSET menu. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.
2. Select the
HS NAME menu and confirm with the " button.
3. Use the digit keys to change the name and enter the
new one for the handset ( max. 5 characters).

Chapter 6.1.2.
4. Confirm b y pressing the
" button.
9.4 Automatic answering
If the “automatic answering” function has been activated, a call is taken automatically on
removing the handset from t he base station.
1. Press the Menu button
" and use the ( or ) button to select the
HANDSET menu. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.
2. Select the
AUTO ANS menu and confirm by pressing the " button.
3. Select one of the settings,
ON or OFF.
4. Confirm b y pressing the
" button.
9.5 Receiver volume
The receiver volume can be set to one of five different volume levels. EAR VOL1 is the
lowest and
EAR VOL5 the h ighest volume setting. The volume can also be adjusted
according to needs during a call ( refer to Chapter 5.11).
1. Press the Menu button
" and use the ( or ) button to select the
HANDSET menu. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.
2. Select the
EAR VOL menu and confirm by pressing the " button.
3. Select the volume required.
4. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.
9.6 Handset ringing settings
Different ringing melodies and volume settings can be set on the handset. Eight dif ferent
ringing melodies are available for the handset. It i s possible to assign different ringing
melodies for internal and external calls so that you know from the m elody what type of call
has been received.
