IR lamp

Intended use

The product is used as an additional lamp for surveillance cameras. The in-

visible to human eyes IR light optimally helps illuminate the control area of

the camera at night.

The IR lamp is activated automatically at dusk through an integrated sensor

and deactivated again at daylight.

The IR lamp is only intended to be used with a stabilised direct current of

12 V/DC.

The product is designed for use indoors and outdoors (IP65).

The safety instructions must be observed at all times!

Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this prod-

uct and involves risks such as short circuits, re, electric shock, etc. No part

of the product may be modied or converted!

This product complies with the applicable national and European require-

ments. All names of companies and products are the trademarks of the

Safety instructions

Damage due to not following these operating instructions will

void the warranty! We do not assume any liability for any result-

ing damage!

We do not assume any liability for material and personal dam-

age caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety

instructions. In such cases, the warranty will be null and void.

• The unauthorised conversion and/or modication of the product

is not permitted for safety and approval reasons. Never dismantle

the product.

• The IR lamp is only intended to be used with a stabilised direct

current of 12 V/DC. The inner contact of the round low-voltage plug

should be Plus/+, the outer contact Minus/-.

• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of chil-

dren. It should be operated out of the reach of children.

• The product is designed for use indoors and outdoors (IP65). How-

ever, it must never be used in or under water, as this will destroy it.

The connector plugs on the IR lamp’s connection cable are not wa-

terproof or watertight and must therefore be placed in a dry indoor

area or be protected accordingly.

• The IR lamp should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, di-

rect sunlight, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.

• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched, kinked or

damaged by sharp edges.

• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could

become a dangerous plaything for children.

• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts,

blows, or accidental falls, even from a low height.

• If the IR lamp is used with other devices (e.g., a surveillance cam-

era), the operating instructions and safety notes for these devices

must also be followed without fail.

• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:

- the device is visibly damaged

- the device no longer works

- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long

time

- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport

• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of

the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Sys-

tems and Operating Facilities are to be observed.

• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating

instructions, please contact our technical department or another

specialist.

Assembly

The IR lamp is equipped with a pre-mounted wall bracket. This is to be tight-

ened to a suitable place using three screws. Use appropriate screws and

wall plugs, depending on the surface.

Make sure when screwing into place or when drilling holes that no

cables or wires are damaged.

If the connection cable is to be laid so it is hidden, a correspondingly large

hole has to be drilled underneath the wall bracket, so the plug can be

passed through. The wall bracket will then cover this opening and protect

the cable from intentional damage.

Alternatively, the cable can lead to the outside. There is a suitable hole on

the wall bracket. In this case, protect the cable with a suitable cable conduit

or similar.

The connection plugs are not waterproof and therefore should be

kept indoors; otherwise they will corrode.

To align the IR lamp loosen the screw or the knurled nut of the wall bracket.

Place the IR lamp in the desired position and re-tighten the bracket.

Accurate alignment can be performed during the operation of the IR lamp

and the surveillance camera at night, when the area illuminated by the IR

light is shown on the monitor (the IR light of the IR lamp or the surveillance

camera is invisible to the human eye).
