Safet y warnings
Read the safet y warnings carefully and only
use the product as described in the se
instructions to avoid ac cidental injury or
damage. K eep these instructions for future
refer ence. If you give this pr oduct to another
person, remember t o also include these
instructions.
Intended use
• When you are walking, hiking or jogging,
the pedometer counts the number o f steps
you have t aken and uses this to calculate
the distance co vered and the approximat e
number of calories and fat y ou burn. In
addition, you can specify your o wn number
of steps f or your training.
• The pedometer is designed for per sonal
use. It is not suitable f or professional or
commercial purpos es.
Danger to childr en
• Swallowing batt eries can be fatal. If a
battery is sw allowed, it can cause sev ere
internal chemical burns and ev en death
within 2 hours. Ther efore, k eep both new
and old batteries and the pr oduct out of the
reach of childr en. If you think that a battery
has been swallo wed or has got into the
body in any other way , seek medical advice
immediately .
Warning – risk o f fire / explosion
• Batteries must not be tak en apart, thrown
into fire or short -circuited. Single-use
batteries must als o not be charged.
• Lithium batteries can explode if insert ed
incorrectly . Y ou should therefore ensur e
correct positioning o f the poles (+/–) when
inserting the battery . Use only batterie s of
the same or of equivalent type ( see the
technical specifications ).
• Clean the contacts on the batterie s and
device as r equired before insertion.
Risk of overheating!
Risk of injury
• If a battery has leaked, av oid all contact
with skin, eyes and muc ous membranes.
Rinse the affect ed areas with water if nec-
essary and consult a doctor immediat ely.
Material damage
• Protect the pedomet er from rain, moistur e
and strong jolts ( do not drop it).
• Protect batt eries from exce ssive heat.
Remove the bat tery from the device when
it is flat or if you do not intend t o use the
device for a long period o f time.
This will help pre vent damage caused by
leakage.
• Do not use any caustic, aggres sive or abra-
sive products f or cleaning.
Please note that the pedomet er only
counts your st eps.
The distance y ou have cover ed and
the calories burnt are calculat ed on
the basis of these values t ogether
with your personal dat a and do not
repre sent accurate r esults.
Prior to fir st use
Insulating strip
M Pull the insulating strip out of the battery
compartment.
Replacing the bat tery
Sealing ring
1. Loo sen the two screw s on the battery
compartment lid and remov e the lid.
T ake car e not to lose the sealing ring.
2. Insert the batt ery, ensuring that the
polarity is corr ect. The positive pole (+)
must face upw ards.
3. Refit the s ealing ring.
4. Place the batt ery compartment lid back
on and screw the s crew in tightly .
The battery must be r eplaced if the
battery icon appears on the
display or if the device is clearly not
working. All settings and sav ed data
will be lost when the battery is
replaced.

The display will light up
for a few s econds.
• T o save batt ery power , the backlight
is not designed to sta y on perma-
nently , as it uses a lot of power .
• The display switches of f automatically
after approx. 30 s econds if no but-
tons are pr essed or it does not sense
any movement .
It switches back on aut omatically
once it senses mov ement.

confirm. The default v alue is 65 kg.
6. Height: Pr ess MODE or S T/ S P repeatedly
to enter y our height in cm . Press SET to
confirm. The def ault value is 170 cm.

2. Start walking or running.
The time of day and the
number of steps c ounted
will be shown on the
display .
• The pedometer will r espond with
a slight delay at first t o avoid count-
ing and displaying every hint of a
movement as a st ep. Only when
the steps become r egular are they
displayed, and those which w ere
not displayed pr eviously are also
included in the calculation. There-
fore , do not be concerned if the
displayed value suddenly incr eases
by 10 steps .
• The pedometer alwa ys counts all the
steps y ou take in a day . If you take a
break, the pedomet er will always
continue counting from the number
of steps c ounted last.
Managing training dat a
Viewing y our current training dat a
MPress MODE to swit ch between the train-
ing data that has been measured and
detected f or the current day . The time
is shown in the bottom r ow . At midnight
every day , the current data are automati-
cally saved to the 7 -day memory and the
current tr aining data are reset t o zero.
Using the stop watch
1. T o switch t o the stopwatch, k eep pressing
MODE until STW is shown on the display .

Defining a training tar get
Y ou can define the number of steps you
would like t o take in one day and use the
pedometer to monit or your progre ss towards
that target.
