UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)

This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is

used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded:

blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).

BEFORE FIRST USE

 Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. CARE AND CLEANING). It is recommended to heat

up the grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may

have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell.

 Ventilate the room during this period.

OPERATION

 Place the drip tray for fat under the grilling surface.

 Connect the appliance.

 Select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob.

 Then preheat the grill to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the

desired temperature, the light will go out.

 Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack.

 When foodstuffs are wholly cooked, they can be kept warm by setting the thermostat knob to .

 The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.

 When grilling is finished switch off the grill and disconnect it.

PRACTICAL HINTS

 Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.

 When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally carefully remove the

accumulated fat from the drip tray.

CARE AND CLEANING

 Before cleaning any domestic electrical appliance, always make sure that the plug has been

removed from the mains supply socket.

 Allow the grill to cool down thoroughly before cleaning.

 Never immerse the appliance or the plug in water or liquid!

 Clean the drip tray and the grill rack in warm soapy water and dry afterwards.

 Wipe the outer surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.

 Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners.
