The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&

yellow).

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

It is necessary to rinse your jug kettle before the first operation. Therefore fill it with fresh water and

switch it on. Once the water boils, empty the jug kettle, let it cool down and rinse it, then repeat the

process at least 3 times paying attention to fill the jug kettle only with fresh water.

OPERATION

 Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.

 Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the minimum

mark and above the maximum mark in the kettle.

 Release the lid and make sure it closes correctly.

 Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket. Check that the pilot light comes on

indicating a right switching.

 The water will keep boiling as long as the appliance is switched and as long as the heating element

will be covered with water. This is normal because your appliance is fitted with a security to avoid

an operation without water (see the next paragraph).

 You can stop your jug kettle whenever you want, simply by switching it off and serving. Please

read the safeguards in the first paragraph (how to operate, lid opening, etc.).

SAFETY CUT-OUT

 This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on without

water or when the water level is too low.

 In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes before filling it with fresh water.

This will reset the safety device. If the problem persists, contact your aftersales service.

CLEANING AND STORING

 Before attempting any cleaning operation make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply

socket and fully cooled down.

 To clean the plastic parts, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth. Use a soft brush to remove

the possible scale deposits on the inner side.

 Never use abrasive products.

 On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water or any other liquid.

DESCALING

 In order to descale your jug kettle, use specific products that you can find in shops and read the

safeguards indicated on their packaging.
