BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left

from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3

times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

 Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.

 Raise the lid by pressing down the button on the handle. Keep the button pressed down

and fill the tank with fresh water, paying attention not to fill under the minimum mark ( )

and above the maximum mark on the water level indicator.

 Close the lid by releasing the button on the handle and make sure it closes correctly.

 Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light will

come on. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its base. If the

problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.

 The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.

 For instant reboiling, wait until water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

 This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on

without water.

 In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool.

Then pour in sufficient cold water to cover the element. This will reset the safety device.

 The kettle may then be used as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

 Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from

the supply socket and fully cooled down.

 To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

 Never use abrasive products

 On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.

DESCALING

To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose.

Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles.

electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the

implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the

rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted

municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing

waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with

the directive.
