■ You must select DVD operation mode by pressing the [DVD] button on the remote
control.
Select OSD.
Set it to 'Off' to prevent routine
confirmation messages such as "Resume
stop" from appearing on the screen.
If you want to display OSD (On Screen
Display), choose “On” mode.

Select screen saver.
If a bright, fixed scene is continuously displayed on
the screen the television tube can be damaged. Set the
screen saver to "On" and after about 5 minutes in
resume stop, stop or open status the player will black
out the screen except for a small moving DVD logo.

Select defaults.
If you highlight 'Defaults' and press [ { right
symbol} ], every item in the DVD set-up menu,
except 'Parental', is re-set to ex-factory condition.

Select Parental.
There are 8 parental levels to protect children
from watching strong sex, violence and so on.
Please see the next page 64.

“Parental Lock”
activates only if you
set a password and
the unit goes into
Lock status. When the
disc has no parental
function even if the
disc for adult only,
Parental Lock doesn’t
activate.
Select 'Angle mark'.
When angle mark is set to 'off' the angle number
indication disappears from the screen a few seconds
after you press the [SPEED/ANGLE] button. Otherwise
it remains on-screen during multi-angle sequences.
When the angle mark is set to 'on' the angle mark ( ) is displayed in the screen all the time
during playback of a multi-angle section.
