reach of children.
Ensure that no combustible items such as
paper towels etc are placed near the toaster
when operational.
Never place the toaster under a cupboard or
overhanging surface and keep a clearance of

heat from the toaster may damage the surface
or cause a re hazard.
Lift the start lever if you need to raise the
level to remove smaller slices of bread.
Press the Cancel button at any time to stop
the toaster and pop up the bread.
Never attempt to remove bread while it is
toasting, always press the (Cancel) button rst.
Toasting frozen bread
You can toast frozen bread straight from the
freezer.
Place the frozen bread in the toaster, set the
browning control and press the start lever
down.
Press the Defrost button within ten seconds.
The Defrost button will light. When the defrost
function has been selected, extra toasting time is
added to defrost the frozen bread.
Reheating toast
If your toast has cooled, you can use the toaster
to reheat it.
Place your cooked toast back in the bread
slots and press the start lever down.
Press the Reheat button within ten seconds.
The Reheat button will light. When the reheat
function has been selected, a short time cycle
will warm up your toast without burning it. The
browning control setting does not change the
reheat time.

Disconnect mains power immediately and
allow the toaster to cool.
Carefully remove the bread from the toaster.
If the bread breaks up when you remove
it, empty the crumb tray before using the
toaster again.
Never attempt to remove jammed bread while
the toaster is connected to mains power.
Never use a knife or any sharp utensil to
remove jammed bread. This may damage the
appliance.
After use

allow it to cool.

of reach of children and pets.

drop from the bread as it is toasted. The crumb
trays must be emptied on a regular basis to
avoid build-up of crumbs that could ignite.
Disconnect mains power.
Slide open the trays and remove them.

Operation
Twin toasters
Your toaster includes two independent two
slice toasters, side by side. You can use either of
them to toast one or two slices of bread or both
together to toast three or four slices.
Operation of each of the two toasters is
identical.
First use
Before toasting bread in your toaster you
should run the toaster twice for the maximum
toasting time without any bread inserted.
This will burn o any residues from the
manufacturing process.
NOTE: When rst used there may be a little
smoke and a hot smell from the appliance. This
is normal and will subside with further use.
Which food items can be toasted?
You can toast any type of sliced bread that will
t easily into the bread slots at the top of the
toaster. You can toast a single slice in either of
the bread slots, or toast two slices at once by
using both slots.
Never attempt to force any oversize item into
the toaster slots.
Never attempt to toast any item that is not
bread-based.
Never toast any bread item that has been
spread with butter or any type of spread or
topping.
Toasting bread
Connect the toaster power cable to mains
power.
Place the bread into the bread slots.
Set the browning control to brown the toast
to your preference.
The best settings will be found after some
experience of using the toaster. As a general rule,
wholemeal breads will require longer times than
white breads. Setting the browning control to
mid-way is a good starting point.
Press the toaster start lever down until it
latches in place.
The Cancel button will light and the bread will
start to cook. The toasted bread will pop up at the
end of the toasting time you set.
Empty the crumbs and wipe the crumb trays
clean.
Slide the crumb trays back into the slots in
the toaster base.
