OPERATION
Cooking
• Prepare the food you plan to cook and organise a clear
space to operate the fryer.
• If necessary, check the cooking table for a guide on
cooking time and temperature for the food you want
to cook.
Remember to add about 3 minutes warm-up time if
the fryer is cold.
• Lift out the basket with drip tray and stand it on a heat-
proof surface.
• Place the food you want to cook in the basket.
Never overload the basket. The food level should
always be beneath the MAX mark on the basket.
• Place the basket into the fryer.
• Connect the mains plug to a convenient outlet.
• Touch to switch on the fryer.
The display will light and show the default
temperature (180°C) and cook time (15 minutes).
• Touch once to select temperature setting.
• Touch or repeatedly to set the temperature you
want.
• Touch again to select time setting.
• Touch or repeatedly to set the cook time you
want.
• Touch when you are ready to start cooking.
The heating and cooking indicators will show
in the display.
The cooking cycle will begin.
During the cooking process the heating indicator
will switch on and o. This is normal and indicates
that the fryer is maintaining the temperature you
selected.
Pausing the cooking process
• Touch at any time to pause the cooking process.
• Touch again to re-start cooking.
Removing the basket during cooking
You may want to remove the basket during cooking to
check if food is cooked or to shake the ingredients and
distribute them for more even cooking.
• Carefully remove the basket and drip tray.
The fryer will switch o and the timer will be paused.
• Stand them on a heat-proof surface.
• Open the safety cover and press the catch to separate
the basket from the drip tray, particularly if the drip
tray contains any liquids from the cooking process.
• Shake the food in the basket gently.
• Fit the basket back to the drip tray, closing the safety
cover.
• Re-install the basket and drip tray into the fryer.
The fryer will resume cooking and the timer will
resume.
