1. Bevor Sie mit dem Gerät arbeiten
• Lesen Sie sich bitte die Bedienungsanlei-
tung genau durch.
• Durch die Beachtung der Bedienungsan-
leitung vermeiden Sie Beschädigungen
des Gerätes und die Gefährdung Ihrer
gesetzlichen Mängelrechte durch Fehlge-
brauch. Für Schäden, die aus Nichtbeach-
tung dieser Bedienungsanleitung verur-
sacht werden, übernehmen wir keine
Haftung. Ebenso haften wir nicht für
inkorrekte Messwerte und Folgen, die
sich aus solchen ergeben können.
• Beachten Sie besonders die Sicherheits-
hinweise!
2. Einsatzbereich
• Zur Temperaturkontrolle von Speisen und
Getränken (Braten, Babynahrung, Teewasser,
Wein, Frittierfett, Marmelade, Zucker- und
Schokoladenmasse etc.)
3. Zu Ihrer Sicherheit
• Verwenden Sie das Produkt nicht anders, als in
dieser Anleitung beschrieben wird.
• Das eigenmächtige Reparieren, Umbauen oder
Verändern des Gerätes ist nicht gestattet.

Verletzungsgefahr:
• Vorsicht beim Umgang mit der Einstichsonde.
• Tragen Sie hitzebeständige Schutzhandschuhe,
wenn Sie den Messfühler während oder nach
dem Kochvorgang berühren.
• Bewahren Sie das Gerät und die Batterie
außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
• Batterien nicht ins Feuer werfen, kurzschließen,
auseinander nehmen oder aufladen. Explosi-
onsgefahr!
• Batterien können bei Verschlucken lebensge-
fährlich sein. Wurde eine Batterie verschluckt,
muss sofort medizinische Hilfe in Anspruch
genommen werden.
• Batterien enthalten gesundheitsschädliche
Säuren. Um ein Auslaufen der Batterien zu ver-
meiden, sollten schwache Batterien möglichst
schnell ausgetauscht werden.
• Beim Hantieren mit ausgelaufenen Batterien
chemikalienbeständige Schutzhandschuhe und
Schutzbrille tragen!
Wichtige Hinweise

zur Produktsicherheit!
• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht extremen Tempera-
turen, Vibrationen und Erschütterungen aus.
• Nur der Fühler ist hitzebeständig bis 300°C.
Nicht im Backofen lassen! Benutzen Sie das
Gerät nicht in der Mikrowelle.
• Halten Sie niemals den Fühler direkt über
Feuer.
• Tauchen Sie das Anzeigeelement nicht in Was-
ser, sonst kann Feuchtigkeit eindringen und zu
Fehlfunktionen führen. Nicht in der Spülmaschi-
ne reinigen.
4. Inbetriebnahme
• Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie vom Display.
• Drücken Sie die ON/OFF Taste.
• Alle Segmente werden kurz angezeigt.
• Das Gerät ist jetzt betriebsbereit.
• Das Display zeigt Ihnen die aktuelle Temperatur
an.
• Der Sensor befindet sich in der Sondenspitze.
• Stecken Sie den Fühler mindestens 2 cm tief in
das Messobjekt.
• Um das Gerät auszuschalten, drücken Sie die
ON/OFF Taste.
• Bei Nichtbenutzung schaltet sich das Gerät
nach 45 Minuten aus.
• Drücken Sie die °C/°F Taste, um zwischen °C
(Celsius) und °F (Fahrenheit) als Maßeinheit für
die Temperatur zu wählen.
4.1 HOLD Funktion
• Drücken Sie die HOLD-Taste im Normalmodus.
• H erscheint auf dem Display.
• Es wird die gemessene Temperatur festgehalten.
• Drücken Sie die HOLD-Taste noch einmal, ge-
langen Sie in den Normalmodus zurück.
5. Pflege und Wartung
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen,
leicht feuchten Tuch. Keine Scheuer- oder
Lösungsmittel verwenden!
• Entfernen Sie die Batterie, wenn Sie das Gerät
längere Zeit nicht verwenden.
• Bewahren Sie Ihr Gerät an einem trockenen
Platz auf.
5.1 Befestigung
• Ziehen Sie eine Kordel durch die Befestigungs-
öse am Gerät und verknoten Sie sie.
5.2 Batteriewechsel
• Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach, indem Sie mit Hilfe
einer Münze den Batteriefachdeckel in Pfeilrich-
tung drehen (OPEN) und legen Sie eine neue
Batterie (LR44) ein (+Pol nach oben).
• Schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder, indem
Sie mit Hilfe einer Münze den Batteriefachdecke
in Pfeilrichtung drehen (CLOSE).

7. Entsorgung
Batterien und Akkus dürfen keines-
falls in den Hausmüll!
Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich
verpflichtet, gebrauchte Batterien
und Akkus zur umweltgerechten
Entsorgung beim Handel oder ent-
sprechenden Sammelstellen gemäß
nationaler oder lokaler Bestimmun-
gen abzugeben.
Die Bezeichnungen für enthaltene
Schwermetalle sind: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei
Dieses Gerät ist entsprechend der
EU-Richtlinie über die Entsorgung
von Elektro- und Elektronik-Altge-
räten (WEEE) gekennzeichnet.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht mit dem
Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Der Nut-
zer ist verpflichtet, das Altgerät zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung bei
einer ausgewiesenen Annahmestel-
le für die Entsorgung von Elektro-

1. Before start you using it
• Please make sure to read the instruction
manual carefully.
• Following the instruction manual for use
will prevent damage to the device and
loss of your statutory rights arising from
defects due to incorrect use. We shall not
be liable for any damage occurring as a
result of not following these instructions.
• Likewise, we take no responsibility for
any incorrect readings and for any conse-
quences which may result from them.
• Please take particular note of the safety
advice.
2. Field of operation
• For temperature control of food and drinks
(roast, baby food, tea water, wine, deep frying
fat, jam, sugar and chocolate mass etc.)
3. For your safety
• This product should only be used as described
within these instructions.
• Unauthorised repairs, modifications or changes
to the product are prohibited.

Risk of injury:
• Be careful when handling the probe.
• Wear heat-resistant protective gloves when you
touch the sensor during or after cooking.
• Keep this instrument and the battery out of
reach of children.
• Batteries must not be thrown into the fire, short-
circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of
explosion!
• Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. If a battery
has been swallowed, get medical assistance
immediately.
• Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries
should be changed as soon as possible to pre-
vent damage caused by a leaking battery.
• Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and
glasses when handling leaked batteries.

• Do not place the unit near extreme tempera-
tures, vibration or shock.
• Only the probe is heat resistant up to 300 °C.
Do not leave the thermometer in the oven. Do
not use the instrument in the microwave.
• Never hold the probe directly over fire.
• Do not immerse the display unit into water.
Water can penetrate and cause malfunction.
Protect from moisture. Not suitable for dish-
washer.
4. Getting started
• Pull off the protective foil on the display.
• Press the ON/OFF button.
• All LCD segments will light up for about a few
seconds.
• The device is ready for use.
• The actual temperature is shown on the display.
• The sensor is located in the point of the probe.
• To measure the temperature, insert the probe at
least 2 cm in the object.
• Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the
instrument.
• When the device is not used, it will automatical-
ly switch off after 45 minutes.
• Press the °C/°F button and the temperature unit
can be changed from °C (grade Celsius) to °F
(grade Fahrenheit).
4.1 HOLD function
• Press the HOLD button in normal mode.
• H appears on the display.
• The HOLD-function for the current temperature
is activated.
• Press the HOLD button once more and you will
return to normal mode.
5. Care and maintenance
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not
use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the device
for a long period of time.
• Keep the instrument in a dry place.
5.1 Fixing
• Pull a rope through the eyelet on the device and
knot it together.
5.2 Battery replacement
• Open the battery compartment by turning the lid
in direction of the arrow by using a coin (OPEN)
and insert a new battery LR 44 (+ pole above).
• Close the battery compartment by turning the lid
counter-clockwise using a coin (CLOSE).

2. Aperçu du domaine d'utilisation
• Pour contrôler la température des aliments et
des boissons (rôti, nourriture pour bébés, eau
pour le thé, vin, huile de friture, confiture, pâte
de sucre ou de chocolat etc.)
3. Pour votre sécurité
• Ne l'utilisez jamais à d'autres fins que celles
décrites dans le présent mode d'emploi.
• Vous ne devez en aucun cas démonter ou
modifier l'appareil par vous-même.

Danger de blessure:
• Faites attention en utilisant la sonde!
• Portez toujours des gants de protection contre
les risques thermiques, lorsque vous manipulez
la sonde pendant ou après la cuisson.
• Gardez l'appareil et la pile hors de la portée
des enfants.
• Ne jetez jamais les piles dans le feu, ne les
court-circuitez pas, ne les démontez pas et ne
les rechargez pas. Risques d'explosion!
• L'ingestion d'une pile peut être mortelle. En cas
d'ingestion, consultez immédiatement un servi-
ce médical.
• Les piles contiennent des acides nocifs pour la
santé. Une pile faible doit être remplacée le
plus rapidement possible, afin d'éviter une fuite.
• Pour manipuler des piles qui ont coulé, utilisez
des gants de protection chimique spécialement
adaptés et portez des lunettes de protection !

• Évitez d’exposer l’appareil à des températures
extrêmes, à des vibrations ou à des chocs.
• Seule la sonde est résistante à une chaleur de
300 °C. Ne pas laisser le thermomètre dans le
four. N’utilisez jamais l'appareil dans une micro-
onde.
• Ne mettez jamais la sonde directement sur le
feu.
• N'immergez pas le boitier d’affichage dans l'eau
sinon l'humidité pourrait pénétrer et causer une
mauvaise fonction. Ne peut pas être lavé au
lave-vaisselle.
4. Mise en service
• Enlevez la feuille de protection de l’affichage.
• Appuyez sur la touche ON/OFF.
• Tous les segments LCD s'allument.
• L´instrument est maintenant prêt à fonctionner.
• L´affichage vous indique la température actuelle.
• Le palpeur se trouve à la pointe de la sonde.
Pour mesurer la température, insérez la sonde
à au moins 2 cm de profondeur dans l'objet.
• Appuyez sur la touche ON/OFF, pour éteindre
l'appareil.
• Lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé, il s’arrête de
lui-même après 45 minutes.
• Appuyez sur la touche °C/°F, pour sélectionner
l'unité de température et commuter entre °C
(Celsius) et °F (Fahrenheit).
4.1 Fonction HOLD
• En mode normal, appuyez sur la touche HOLD.
• H apparaît sur l'affichage.
• La température mesurée est retenue.
• Appuyez encore une fois sur la touche HOLD,
pour retourner au mode normal.
5. Entretien et maintenance
• Pour le nettoyage de l'appareil, utilisez un chif-
fon doux et humide. N’utilisez aucun agent sol-
vant abrasif!
• Enlevez la pile, si vous n’utilisez pas l'appareil
pendant une durée prolongée.
• Conservez votre appareil dans un endroit sec.
5.1 Fixation
• Passer une corde dans l'œillet de l'appareil et
serrez-la avec un nœud.
5.2 Remplacement de la pile
• Ouvrez le compartiment à pile en tournant le
couvercle à l'aide d'une pièce de monnaie en
direction (OPEN) de la flèche et insérez une pile
neuve (LR 44) (+pôle vers le haut).
• Refermez le compartiment à pile en tournant le
couvercle dans le sens contraire des aiguilles
d’une montre (CLOSE).
6. Dépannage

7. Traitement des déchets
Les piles et accus usagés ne peu-
vent en aucun cas être jetés dans
les ordures ménagères!
En tant qu'utilisateur, vous avez
l'obligation légale de rapporter les
piles et accus usagés à votre reven-
deur ou de les déposer dans une
déchetterie proche de votre domici-
le conformément à la réglementa-
tion nationale et locale.
Les métaux lourds sont désignés
comme suit: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mer-
cure, Pb=plomb.
Cet appareil est conforme aux nor-
mes de l'UE relatives au traitement
des déchets électriques et électro-
niques (WEEE).
L'appareil usagé ne doit pas être
jeté dans les ordures ménagères.
L’utilisateur s’engage, pour le res-
pect de l’environnement, à déposer
l’appareil usagé dans un centre de
traitement agréé pour les déchets
électriques et électroniques.
