Caution!
Risk of injury:
•
Start using the luggage scale only after the belt is closed correctly.
•
Keep this instrument and the battery out of reach of children.
•
Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
•
Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. If a battery has been swallowed, get medical assistance immediately.
•
Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage
caused by a leak.
•
Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.

Do not place the unit near extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
•
Protect it from humidity.

6. Getting started
•
Pull out the battery compartment and remove the insulation strip. Push the battery compartment
back into the housing (see marking: -pole above). The luggage scale is now ready to use.
7. Use of the luggage scale
•
Open the strap of the luggage scale. Simply attach it to the handle of your suitcase.
•
Make sure that the belt is closed correctly.
•
Press the ON/OFF button.
•
All segments appear on the display.
•
As soon as 0.0 Kg appears on the display, you can start weighing your suitcase.
•
You can now start weighing your suitcase.
•
Take the scale holder and lift your luggage for 2 -3 seconds.
•
The weight measuring is finished, as soon as HOLD appears on the display and the red light turns on
briefly.
•
Set the luggage back down and read the weight displayed.
•
Press the ON/OFF button to reset the value.
•
0.0 Kg appears on the display.
•
To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
•
When the scale is not in use, it will automatically switch off after approx. 60 seconds.
8. Care and maintenance
•
Clean your instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
•
Remove the battery if you do not use it for a long period of time.
•
Keep your scale in a dry place.
9. Troubleshooting
Problems Solution
No indication ➜ Switch on the instrument
➜ Ensure that the battery polarity is correct (– pole above)
➜ Change battery
Incorrect display ➜ Change battery
Indication “Lo” ➜ Change battery
Indication “EEEE” ➜ The weight is too high
If your device fails to work despite these measures contact the supplier from whom you purchased it.
10. Waste disposal
This product has been manufactured using high-grade materials and components which can be recycled
and reused.
Never dispose of empty and rechargeable batteries in household waste.
As a consumer, you are legally required to take them to your retail store or to an appropriate
collection site depending on national or local regulations in order to protect the environment.
The symbols for the heavy metals contained are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead
This instrument is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment Directive (WEEE).
Please do not dispose of this instrument in household waste. The user is obligated to take
end-of-life devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and elec-
tronic equipment, in order to ensure environmentally-compatible disposal.
