You must ascertain whether gas can be smelled around the unit before switching it on. Some gases are
heavier than air and can be found at floor level. You should therefore also determine whether you can
smell gas at floor level.
Failure to follow the instructions below exactly may lead to damage to personal possessions and may lead to
personal injury or even death.
What you should do if you smell gas:
* Do not ignite or switch on any units.
* Do not switch any electrical switches on or off.
* Do not use a telephone in the building. If necessary, go to your neighbour and ask
whether you may telephone the gas supplier. Follow the supplier’s instructions.
* If you cannot reach the gas supplier, call the fire brigade.
2.1 Functions of remote control
A temperature sensor in the remote control measures the ambient temperature.
The remote control compares the ambient temperature with the set temperature and then sends a signal to the re-
ceiver which controls the gas block motor in order to change the flame height upwards or downwards.
The battery should be replaced when the signal is noticeably weak.

After fitting the 9V battery, the temperature (ºC) and or (ºF) and the time display can be changed (24 hours or 12
with AM/PM) by pressing in buttons B2 and B3 at the same time.
By pressing in buttons B1 and B2 you can set the time after which B1: hours, B2: minutes.
The display will automatically return to the start setting. This can also be done by pressing button B3.
Setting the desired day temperature.
Press button B4 (1x) until * appears in the display.
Hold button B4 down for a little longer until the temperature reading begins to flicker.
Then the desired day temperature can be set by using buttons B1 and B2.
