this by programming the Dual Timer to trigger a device (lamp, ra-
dio, etc.) connected to Output A at irregular intervals.
In time mode, press the random button (8). „RND“ flashes bottom
left in the display. The random function in now active.
The random function only operates from Output A!
Activation time for the random function is approx. 15 to 30 minu-
tes, with subsequent deactivation for approx. 30 to 45 minutes.
When the random function is active, all programmed triggering ti-
mes become inactive. Output B can be triggered manually.
Deactivation of the random function is by re-pressing the random
button. All programmed triggering times now become active again.
• Temporary deactivation of triggering times
If you wish to deactivate all of your programmed times temporarily,
do the following:
Deactivate all triggering times:
In time mode, first press the set button and then press the ON/OFF
button A. The display now shows a cross which tells you that all
triggering times are now deactivated. Press the set button repea-
tedly until the display shows no flashing symbols.
Reactivating the triggering times is done is exactly the same way.
Deactivating individual triggering times:
Use the mode button to select the triggering time you wish to de-
activate. Now press the set button and do exactly the same as de-
scribed under „Deactivate all triggering times“.

An example will make clear how to program a complete triggering
sequence. All other triggering sequences can be programmed in
the same way.
• Activation time:
Press the mode button repeatedly until you obtain the trigger (1 to
9) you require and the display shows „PROGRAM ON“ bottom
right.
Pressing the set button starts the day flashing. Now use the chan-
ge button to set the day of the week (or MO - FR, MO - SA, MO -
SU or SA - SU) on which the timer should activate itself.
Use the ON/OFF button B (3) to select which of the two outputs is
to be active. Your options are: A, B, A+B
Press the set button again and you are now able to use the change
button to set the hours (and by repressing the set button) the minu-
tes. Press the set button again to complete the activation time pro-
gramming.
Set the deactivation time by pressing the mode button. The display
shows „PROGRAM OFF“. Set in exactly the same way as you did
for activation time.
• Random function
The random function enables you to create the impression that you
are at home when in fact you are no longer at home. You can do
