SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

General Information

•Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a

safe place.

•Only use the appliance as described in this manual.

•Never leave the appliance unattended when it is

switched on.

•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8

years and above and persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience

and knowledge if they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe

way and understand the hazards involved.

•Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of

children less than 8 years.

•Children must be strictly supervised to prevent them

from treating the appliance as a toy.

•Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified

service centre.

Electricity and heat

•Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage

is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.

•Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug

socket.

•Regularly check the power cord for damage. Do not

use the appliance if the power cord is damaged.

Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified

service centre.

•To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the

plug. Do not pull the power cord.

•Make sure the power cord does not come into contact

with hot surfaces or steam.

•Always unplug the appliance before moving it or

when it is not in use.

•If you use an extension lead, use an earthed extension

lead that is suitable for a 5 A current.

•Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid

(does not apply to accessories).

•Do not touch the appliance if it has fallen into

water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the

appliance and do not use it again.

•Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as

a stove or oven.

•Don't touch the appliance during use; the appliance

gets very hot.

Using the appliance

•The appliance is only intended for domestic use. It is

not suitable for professional use.

•Only use the appliance for making wafers. Using the
