Regularly clean the kele for opmum performance. Never submerge the kele and connecon base in water and/or other
liquids. Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the socket and allow the kele to cool down. Regularly wipe the

RECYCLING
Cauon:never switch on the kele when it contains no water. If, by accident, the kele is switched on without water in it,
the boil dry safeguard switches o the kele automacally. In this case, remove the kele from the connecon base and
allow it to cool down for a few minutes. Then you can ll the kele with water and switch it on again. Check that the lid of
the kele is properly closed. If not, the kele does not switch o automacally when the water boils and connues to boil.

more, wait approx. 30 seconds before switching it on again to allow the switch to cool down. It is also possible to switch o
the kele at any me by means of the on/o switch. When the kele is taken o the connecon base while boiling, it will
also switch o. When placing back the kele on the connecon base, wait approx. 30 seconds before switching it on again
to allow the switch to cool down.
Cauon!It is possible that a lile condensed water remains on the edge of the connecon base. This is normal and does not
aect the funcon of the kele.
SWITCHING OFF THE KETTLE
Scale may occur on the inside of the kele. If you have hard water, it may be necessary to de-scale the kele occasionally.
Use a suitable de-scaling agent for keles/coee machines and observe the accompanying instrucons.
You can also de-scale the kele with lemon juice. The lemon acid in this juice will make sure that the scale is removed.
This natural method prevents the use of chemicals. Fill half the kele with hot water. Add the juice of half a lemon.
Boil the water and then allow the water to cool down for 30 minutes. Throw away the boiled water and rinse the kele
once more. Never clean the appliance with cleaning agents. These could damage your kele.
In order to remove the an-scale lter from the kele for cleaning, you must take the kele from the connecon base and allow
it to cool down. Do not remove the an-scale lter from the kele if it is sll hot or lled with water. Push free the an-scale
lter via the opening of the spout and clean it with warm water. When placing back the lter, make sure it is properly aached
in the spout via the inside of the kele. Never place the an-scale lter loose in the kele.
